Director, Colleague Experience (HR Technology)
The Director, Colleague Experience (HR Technology) provides strategic leadership and end‑to‑end ownership of Pandora’s global HR technology ecosystem. This senior HRIS leadership role is responsible for the deployment, configuration, optimisation, and operational excellence of enterprise SaaS HR platforms across the employee lifecycle.
The role focuses on standardising processes and maximising out‑of‑the‑box platform capabilities. Rather than custom development, non‑standard requirements are addressed through well‑governed SAP BTP–based integrations and extensions, with bespoke solutions reserved for exceptional, high‑value use cases.
The Director ensures HR platforms enable scalable, globally consistent processes while supporting local regulatory requirements. The core technology portfolio includes SAP SuccessFactors, Dayforce, ServiceNow, and Paradox, with accountability for ensuring platforms are configured in line with industry best practices.
A key priority is driving automation and AI adoption to improve efficiency, data quality, and the overall colleague experience, using in‑system workflows and SAP BTP–enabled integrations to streamline end‑to‑end HR processes.
Leading a global team of HRIS and HR technology specialists, the Director partners closely with HR leadership, Retail Operations, and external System Integrators to ensure HR technology delivers clear, measurable business value.
Key Responsibilities:
HR Technology Strategy & Governance:
- Own the global HR technology strategy and roadmap, aligned to business priorities and the People strategy
- Champion a configure‑not‑customise approach, ensuring platforms are used as designed and governed to industry best practice
- Establish and maintain strong governance across system changes, releases, data quality, integrations, and architectural decisions
Delivery Excellence & Continuous Improvement:
- Lead a structured HRIS delivery approach covering design, configuration, testing, and deployment
- Ensure disciplined release management, testing standards, and documentation across all HR technology changes
- Drive ongoing improvement of delivery quality, predictability, and efficiency through standardisation and tooling
AI & Automation Enablement:
- Identify and scale AI and automation opportunities that improve speed, accuracy, and quality across HR technology delivery and operations
- Leverage platform‑native automation, AI capabilities, and SAP BTP–based integrations to streamline end‑to‑end HR processes
- Track and demonstrate measurable benefits from AI and automation initiatives
Integration & Payroll Enablement:
- Lead a modern, reusable integration architecture that supports scalable global HR and local payroll solutions
- Reduce integration complexity and technical debt while ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant data flows
Vendor & Stakeholder Partnership:
- Manage strategic relationships with platform vendors and System Integrators, holding partners accountable for outcomes and best‑practice delivery
- Act as a trusted partner to HR, Retail, and Corporate stakeholders, providing transparency, clear decision‑making, and practical guidance
People Leadership & Operations:
- Lead and develop a high‑performing global HR technology team with deep functional and platform expertise
- Own platform stability, security, privacy, and risk management, ensuring GDPR compliance and audit‑ready controls
- Manage budgets, capacity, and total cost of ownership across both change and run activities
What You’ll Bring:
- 8+ years’ experience working in HR technology / HRIS roles, including at least 3 years in a leadership capacity
- Hands‑on experience with SAP SuccessFactors, including implementation and ongoing operations across core modules such as Employee Central, Performance & Goals, Succession, Compensation, and Variable Pay
- Proven experience leading global, multi‑country HRIS implementations, supporting both global standards and local requirements
- A strong understanding of end‑to‑end HR processes across the employee lifecycle, from hire to retire
- Demonstrated experience applying a structured implementation methodology, covering requirements definition, fit‑gap analysis, configuration, testing, and cutover
- A track record of successfully managing System Integrator and vendor partnerships, holding partners accountable for outcomes and best‑practice delivery
