Design Development Manager
PRODUCT/DESIGN DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
Do you want to play a key role in the Design Development team within Global Product at Pandora's global headquarters in Copenhagen? As a Product Development Manager / Design Development Manager, you will lead the successful delivery of products in key collections throughout the development cycles. Product / Design Development of Main Cycles:

Lead close partnerships with Design, Creative Sourcing & Production teams to manage the development process from concept to pre-production samples across specific collections.

Oversee product development meetings to ensure alignment on project status.

Leverage your in-depth product knowledge to identify and resolve potential delays, cost, quality, production, and legal challenges.

Manage proto and sample reviews with Design SVP & Directors.

Handle all edit requests following proto and sample reviews.

Ensure timely approval of all samples and ensure development cycles are kept on track.
Cost & Quality:

Proactively identify designs with potential quality or cost challenges, coordinating with the quality team for early testing and wear assessments.

Drive the development of cost-effective, high-quality alternatives as needed.

Work closely with the quality team to ensure all testing is completed promptly during the development cycle.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management:

Collaborate with key stakeholders to generate critical information that supports effective decision-making.

Provide regular updates on product development status to management.

Serve as the key liaison between Design & Production teams in cross-functional meetings, sharing insights on new designs and materials.

Participate in Material Sourcing and Development meetings.
Professional Qualifications & Experience:
-
Minimum 5 years of experience in product development within the jewelry industry (or similar industry).

Specialized product knowledge within the jewelry or a comparable industry.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, especially in complex product development scenarios.

Highly motivated, results-oriented, with strong reporting and organizational skills.
-
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely in English.
In addition, we’re looking for someone who demonstrates:

A passion for design and the product lifecycle.

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Strong attention to detail while maintaining a broader strategic perspective.

The ability to consolidate complex information and deliver clear guidance to stakeholders.

Proficiency in PLM systems is a plus.

An eye for visual design aesthetics, particularly in jewelry and visual presentations.
