As part of building the Pandora Digital Hub in Copenhagen, we are looking for a Delivery Director within our Delivery and Planning Team focused on ERP. As the Delivery Director, you will be responsible for overseeing and driving the delivery of our ERP programme, from initial phase of selecting vendor, developing templates over planning roll-out scope, sequence and plans.
 

The ERP programme is the single largest programme over the next many years for Pandora, which is foundational for us to deliver on our 2025 strategy, and this role will establish the delivery organisation together with key stakeholders and contributors to the programme, ensuring strong governance and collaboration across tracks, functions, tech domains and counterparts across the organisation.
 

As we are maturing our product led organisation this role will build a strong delivery backbone to the product management and engineering teams, driving the mindset shift of helping the teams deliver on their backlogs, removing impediments and ensuring progress and outcome.   

 

Your role as Delivery Director:  
 

  • Oversee and drive the E2E delivery of all initiatives within the ERP programme through the various phases from vendor selection, SI selection
  • Establish a delivery organisation matching the various phases in collaboration with key senior stakeholders and sponsors
  • Work with the delivery organization to build approach to POC, Templates, roll-out scope, timelines and sequence
  • Build stakeholder engagement model, programme governance and general collaboration model – ensuring a team spirit across the extended teams and tracks
  • Provide timely communication on progress, risks and dependencies
  • Ensure budget and capacity management throughout the programme phases
  • Work with the other Delivery Directors to establish a delivery Center of Excellence – and constantly work on how we improve our ability to deliver on expected business outcomes, e.g. by identifying dependencies, ensuring business readiness, conduct needed sequencing and prioritization
  • Over time ensure the delivery organisation matures to work with product management and engineering, driving a mindset shift in delivery to help the product teams deliver on their backlogs in an efficient manner by applying agile methodologies
  • Build effective partnerships within D&T and with key functional owners/sponsors of the programme
  • Ensure an effective approach to change management is developed and applied throughout the programme
  • Lead, challenge and educate business and Product Tech teams on how to improve delivery by thinking E2E
  • Participate in implementation and enhancement of delivery model(s) e.g. agile frameworks – and role model the behaviour and approach
  • Work within agreed governance and planning process and report status and traction –ensuring proactive reporting, i.e. trouble shoot and identify root causes to delays immediately and seek to mitigate these onwards by establishing a learning and ‘I need help culture’ culture.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly and annual planning cycles
  • Manage risks, dependencies and key decisions
  • Communicate risks, dependencies, status and progress to key stakeholders
  • Manage relationships with strategic vendors providing resources, expertise and software
  • Work with piers from product management and architecture to ensure enterprise capability maps and architecture documents are developed and maintained to guide the overall delivery
  • Foster and grow a culture which celebrates collaboration and continuous improvements, in order to drive delivery efficiency up while reducing time to deliver and cost of implementation
  • In collaboration with P&D LT colleagues, drive ongoing competency development ensuring constant alignment with market trends and trends within Digital & Technology, as well as the rest of Pandora
  • Work with the D&T strategy team and D&T Portfolio team to ensure 1 year and 3 year roadmaps are maintained and tracked
  • Accountability for delivery assurance/health assessments of all initiatives being delivered
  • Be line manager for the Delivery Managers within ERP programme
  • Review and refine delivery plans (aligning with Product Roadmaps) and support the Delivery Managers in their delivery planning process.
  • Work with the Delivery Managers to track capacity and performance of tracks/teams against commitment, building a view of performance over a period of time and identify areas for improvement
  • Manages resources so they are deployed as needed to meet capacity requirements. Work with Product and Engineering Directors to identify additional capacity needs and re-balance workload across teams, as needed.
  • Carry out interviewing for new/additional team members, as required
  • Supports induction and on-boarding of new joiners to make it a positive start
  • You will be responsible for ensuring delivery on timelines, milestones and agreed output within budget, understanding capacity needs throughout the programme phases.
  • You will build effective partnerships with stakeholders, maintain transparency and provide timely and accurate visibility of status, progress and managing progress impediments.

 

 

What you need to succeed:

 

  • 10+ years' experience of leading delivery of large scale programmes, ERP programmes is an advantage
  • Strong passion for ERP, technology and digital
  • Qualifications in
    • Project and Programme management (preferred)
    • Scrum.org PSM, Scrum Alliance CSM, or equivalent an advantage
    • SAFe (optional)
  • Extensive experience in leading delivery teams using programme, project and ideally also agile and scaled agile models (and identifying when and how to use different approaches).
  • Has experience working with OKRs as a framework to measure success within a Product environment
  • Excellent knowledge of agile methodology and practices (Scrum, Kanban), ideally, including effective scaled agile frameworks and ways of working
  • Excellent planning and organisational skills within a fast paced and changing environment with multiple dependencies
  • Excellent analytical skills and methodical approach to problem solving
  • Able to assess situations to determine the importance, urgency and risks, and make clear decisions which are timely
  • Can navigate the organisation and has the ability to influence at all levels – including leading virtual teams w/o formal leadership role
  • Highly motivated and self-starting with a personal drive for continuous development
  • Able to think strategically, establishing clear direction and implementing plans to deliver
  • Strong communication skills and able to engage with both technical and non-technical colleagues.  Can effectively facilitate difficult discussions within and between teams, and with diverse senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Able to demonstrate an ability to effectively support the delivery flow of multiple teams within a portfolio, leading to sustainable improvements over time, and to manage internal and external risks, issues and dependencies (and removes blockers that affect teams’ ability to deliver).
  • Demonstrate technical understanding and competence to have credible discussions with track members
  • Able to continuously improve and shape the delivery approach used to be most effective
  • Able to lead the Delivery community to continuously review processes and seek improvements, experimenting with new ideas and encouraging a mind-set of experimentation.
  • Experience of good practice in planning, driving sensible consistency across teams. Demonstrated ability to manage complex internal and external dependencies, to plan sequence of work across, and to manage / resolve dependencies outside of the programme
  • Ability to lead, motivate and influence teams effectively, particularly in complex and challenging environments, e.g. multiple suppliers, multiple locations, changing priorities
  • Takes teams’ development seriously, taking required time to set objectives, gather and synthesise feedback and deliver clear developmental messages. Ability to coach, guide and support the development of team members and able to provide feedback in a way that is meaningful
