About the role:

 

Expect a global journey ahead where you will be establishing and maintaining effective data governance practices. Defining and implementing data policies, standards, and procedures to ensure the quality, integrity, security, and compliance of organizational data assets. You will play a pivotal role by being the connection between Digital & Analytics and Business.

 

The Data Governance Manager plays a crucial role in fostering a data-driven culture, ensuring the organization's data assets are effectively managed, and promoting the highest standards of data quality and integrity.

 

The role requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of data management principles. You are also responsible for establishing Data Library and Data Catalogue in close collaboration with Data Architects.

 

About Data Management Team

 

You will join a multi-cultural team spread over 3 locations: Copenhagen, Warsaw, and Thailand. You will be part of a matrix organisation of 20 plus composed of Data Governance, Data Excellence, Data Architecture, Master Data Tooling and ERP Master Data professionals. You will have the responsibility to lead the Data Governance Area in Pandora where you will report to the Director Data Management and have the responsibility of managing your team.

 

Key accountabilities:

 

  • Develop data Governance strategy for Pandora in line with Data Strategy and D&A Strategy.
  • Combination of technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of data management principles.
  • Responsible for establishing Data Library and Data Catalogue in close collaboration with Data Architects.
  • Drive cross-functional collaboration between teams, including IT, business analysts, and legal, to drive data governance initiatives.

 

Your responsibilities include:

 

  • Develop data Governance strategy for Pandora in line with D&A Strategy and Business Strategy.
  • Develop & Maintain inventory of the enterprise data and enforce data quality standards to ensure the accuracy and reliability of data.
  • Collaborate with business units to assign and train data stewards for specific data domains.
  • Drive cross-functional Data Forums, in collaboration with different functions.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices in data governance.

 

What is needed to succeed:

 

  • 8+ years of experience working with Data Governance or Master Data Management
  • 5+ years of experience in managing teams
  • Preferably experience with building and working with Data Catalogues or Data Libraries
  • Proven track record in managing teamsExcellent communication skills and able to create working relationships with stakeholder at all levels
  • Understands the value of teamwork
  • Methodical and structured
  • Ability to navigate and communicate in a large international setting
  • Fluent English both spoken and written
