In Delivery & Planning we have a mission of driving and improving end to end delivery of tech initiatives in collaboration with Product and Development teams – seeking to deliver expected outcome for our customers and colleagues in shortest possible time to market while staying within budget.

We collaborate, deliver services and provide expertise across the Digital and technology domains – and we want to be the healthy friction in our organisation asking the right questions ensuring ambitions are always clear and that we focus on outcome.

 

As we are embarking on next level of Digital and technology commercial cluster engagement we are looking for a strong Business Partner and technology leader to lead this area for Europe and our 5 European commercial clusters.

 

As a Digital & Technology (DT) Business Partner, you will act as interface between Global Digital & Technology and the 5 commercial clusters in Europe. You will be driving mutual transparency between the commercial clusters and D&T ensuring cluster plans and D&T roadmaps are joined up at all times. You will help clusters realise their roadmaps and realise technology value- and at all times provide clarity on D&T plans, organisation and support.

 

To do this you will be keeping Digital & Technology (D&T) domains leaders accountable for listening and delivering on cluster needs, but also keeping the clusters accountable for implementing and supporting tech initiatives to deliver desired value.

 

All of this enabled through strong engagement model and clarity on portfolio, drumbeat and intake model as well as change management and communication.


Your role as a Digital & Technology Business Partner: 

 

  • Lead business stakeholder engagements, to inform, influence, challenge, building up a respected partner relationship across clusters and Global Digital & Technology (D&T)
  • Serve as the cluster relationship link between clusters and Global Digital & Technology (D&T) at executive level
  • Provide highly valued strategic consulting level support and guidance through key Global Digital & Technology (D&T) initiatives
  • Understand market challenges, including customer priorities and competitive issues and conveys them to Digital & Technology (D&T) when needed
  • Identify and define opportunities, account for cluster priorities and prepare decision material and business cases together with business leadership and other key stakeholders
  • Provide support in delivering and implementing technology products that meet the needs and requirements of the cluster and business strategy
  • Be the catalyst for change in the commercial clusters by driving the Change Agenda on Global DT deliveries from idea to release, holding global DT & cluster teams accountable for having go to market approach to initiatives where relevant
  • Seek input from clusters to influence the Digital & Technology (D&T) Strategic Plans, join up global and cluster roadmaps – and then review the Plan consistently during the year with cluster and Global leadership teams
  • Positions global Digital & Technology (D&T) standards and policies correctly in management of the Cluster portfolio
  • Take lead – ensuring the Digital & Technology (D&T) teams on the ground have clear direction aligned to cluster plans, efficiency levers and problems to be solved
  • Be working closely with the Digital & Technology (D&T) Strategy team, the Portfolio & Planning team, and have touchpoints across all of D&T to being able to provide clarity and transparency to the cluster leadership teams
  • Be required to have a good understand of support and operational frameworks and engagement models, as key is to strike right balance between performance and transparency on operational support (with operations teams on-site in the clusters and in global) – and the planning and delivery of strategic initiatives to deliver business value

 

What is needed to succeed: 

 

  • +5 years of experience from Digital and Technology and bridging between business demands and requirements and technology solution
  • Previous experience with overseeing a broad portfolio of Technology initiatives incl. Project delivery ideally agile and waterfall
  • Experience with IT Operations – and the key metrics to monitor to assess if performance meets stakeholder expectations 
  • Strong relationship builder, and good listener – and have a structured approach to managing stakeholders
  • Strong communicatioin skills, able to clearly and speak common language to bridge technology and business requirements 
  • Analytical and can build business cases and track value as needed 
  • Previous experience with working between global and local in a global retailer in the intersection between business and technology would be preferred but not required
