Do you want to be a part of the world’s leading jewellery company while putting your experience in Digital Technology into use? If yes, then we might have an exciting opportunity for you! You will be part of an exciting business area and work in a truly international organisation of can-do spirited, passionate, and performance-driven people.
As we elevate our digital and technology engagement with commercial clusters, we are seeking a seasoned Business Partner and technology leader to spearhead these efforts for our commercial clusters. Additionally, this role will collaborate on developing and embedding standardized workflows and consistent engagement drumbeats between clusters and D&T.
We value flexibility and informal working, and you will be trusted to deliver, while focusing on outcome and impact over doing tasks and ticking boxes.
Your Role as D&T Business Partner:
In your role as Business Partner, you will serve as the key interface between Global Digital & Technology (D&T) and the commercial clusters. You will drive mutual transparency and ensure that cluster plans and D&T roadmaps are consistently aligned, enabling clusters to achieve their strategic objectives and maximize technology value. By providing clear insights into D&T plans, organization, and support, you will facilitate effective collaboration and the successful implementation of technology initiatives. You will hold D&T domain leaders accountable for addressing cluster needs while ensuring that clusters are responsible for executing and supporting these initiatives.
Additionally, you will co-lead engagement practices, promote best practices among business partners, and foster a cohesive engagement model. Your leadership will ensure streamlined interactions, avoid duplicate efforts, and cultivate a high-performing environment that aligns local market requirements with global technology strategies.
About the Team:
In Delivery & Planning we have a mission of driving and improving end to end delivery of tech initiatives in collaboration with Product and Development teams – seeking to deliver expected outcome for our customers and colleagues in shortest possible time to market while staying within budget.
We collaborate, deliver services and provide expertise across the Digital and Technology domains – and we want to be the healthy friction in our organisation asking the right questions ensuring ambitions are always clear and that we focus on outcome.
As part of this overarching organization, the Cluster Engagement & Delivery team is composed of D&T Business Partners sitting around the globe to support our business closely, serving as a gateway and nexus toward D&T, as well as cross cutting delivery teams that cover non-domain specific delivery to enable selected market priorities.
What is needed to succeed:
In this role you will:
- Act as the executive-level relationship link between clusters and Global D&T, building respected partnerships and influencing strategic plans.
- Lead stakeholder engagements to understand market challenges, align global and cluster roadmaps, and drive the Change Agenda from idea to release.
- Position global D&T standards effectively within cluster portfolios while ensuring technology solutions align with cluster and business strategies.
- Provide strategic consulting support, orchestrate engagement practices across D&T business partners, and foster collaboration to prevent duplication of efforts.
- Balance operational support and strategic initiative planning, ensuring transparency and delivering business value through clear direction and accountability.
It is expected that you:
- Possess over 5 years of experience in Digital and Technology, effectively bridging business demands and technology solutions.
- Have experience overseeing a broad portfolio of technology initiatives, including project delivery in both agile and waterfall methodologies.
- Demonstrate experience in IT Operations, with the ability to monitor key metrics to ensure performance meets stakeholder expectations.
- Be structured, organized, and possess a strong problem-solving mindset.
- Excel in building strong relationships and are a good listener, with a structured approach to managing stakeholders.
- Communicate clearly and effectively, using a common language to bridge technology and business requirements.
- Be analytical and capable of building business cases and tracking value as needed.
- Ideally have experience working between global and local teams within a global retail environment, navigating the intersection of business and technology.
- Be proactive and hands-on, unafraid to roll up your sleeves and get things done with pragmatism when necessary.
- Have experience leading engagement practices, promoting best practices, enhancing collaboration among peers, and preventing duplicate efforts to ensure a cohesive and efficient approach across the team.
