Creative Sourcing Manager

Job description and areas of responsibility:  

We are looking for a Creative Sourcing Manager, Product Design who will be working within the Global Product function at Pandora.

In this role, your main responsibilities will be to deliver new jewellery components/techniques into the  process that achieves the Creative Vision, Cost and Quality. In other words, you will be the main point of contact between the designers and the suppliers with a demonstrated creative ability to translate the requirements of the business.

 

This encompasses a wide range of work including:

  • Work closely with Design & Development teams to creatively support in terms of materials and technical information
  • Ensure a smooth running sourcing process between Pandora’s internal and external suppliers
  • Support VP and Head of Design with product Design Strategy e.g. provide research, samples etc.
  • Work directly with external suppliers (finished jewellery and components) to develop new products and ideas and ensure the suppliers are challenges with innovation, quality and price
  • Organise and maintain the physical material library

 

What is needed to succeed:

We are looking for a strong professional with a proven track record in  sourcing, development, production process, understanding of cost and executing on new materials and techniques across all jewellery products. You have a creative, collaborative working style with Designers, you are proactive and organised in offering new ideas as well as removing obstacles.

 

Furthermore, we envision that you have and can demonstrate:

  • Minimum 8 years’ experience in a premium jewellery supply, wholesale or retail environment
  • In depth specialised product knowledge within the jewellery industry including working directly with Designers/Creative team to execute on product strategy
  • Experience with project management and excellent stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with multiple cultures and specifically in manufacturing facilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, i.e. deliver structured and simple messages on presentations
