Creative Merchandising Specialist

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team. You will be responsible for helping to oversee NPD (New Product Development)  processes for one or more of our collections, managing product assortments, and ensuring effective portfolio management. Your role will involve collaborating and negotiating with various stakeholders, tracking performance and additionally, you will play a key role in identifying future product opportunities through creative analysis of trends and competitor activities.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Collection NPD Management:

  • Collaborate with the Creative Merchandising Director in collection road mapping and product strategies

  • Oversee the A-Z product development cycle, including local requests, status meetings, pre-selection, de-selection, and product discontinuation.

  • Review and analyze assortments and categories.

  • Lead performance tracking and sharing, identifying patterns and opportunities for the global portfolio

  • Develop the annual planner, handle legal checks, and ensure products meet pricing and margin requirements.

  • Collaborate with cross functional stakeholders to develop NPD cycles.

  • SWOT analysis.

 

Trend Forecasting & competitor analysis

  • Stay updated on fashion, jewelry, and design trends.

  • Identify patterns and emerging styles that can be incorporated into Pandora's portfolio. Your insights and recommendations will shape our product offerings and marketing strategies.

  • Analyze competitors' strategies and suggest opportunities and whitespace for Pandora's growth.

  • Evaluate how the market is evolving, including changes in collections, styles, price points, and categories.

 

Seasonal Concept Strategy Presentation:

  • Assist in research and opportunity identification for seasonal concepts.

  • Visual iconography and creation of mood boards.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field

  • 3+ years of experience in buying and new product development, merchandising, or portfolio management within the retail industry

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet deadlines

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and internal and external stakeholders

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data, track performance, and make data-driven decisions

  • Familiarity with pricing strategies and margin optimization

  • Detail-oriented and highly organized, with strong problem-solving abilities

  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work independently as well as in a team

  • A creative individual with a keen understanding of market trends, competitor analysis, and the ability to identify future product opportunities

  • Passion and knowledge of the fashion & Jewelry industry is a must
