Communications and Media Planning Director
We are looking for our new communications and media planning director. At Pandora we believe that marketing is a key lever for growth, and we have chosen to invest significantly into building a world-class marketing organization. A key area of focus is integrated communications and media planning, which we need a global director to spearhead as a capability.
Your Role
As the global director for communications and media planning, you will undertake responsibility for how we plan our marketing activities across clusters with a focus on a balanced effort between improving brand equity and increasing sales continually.
You will be leading a team of experienced media and communications planners, as well as have the responsibility for our agency support model and integration into the business. You will report to the global vice president for paid media and performance marketing.
Key responsibilities:
- You will lead the effort to elevate the role of strategic communications and media planning in the wider business agenda, with a particular focus on budget and portfolio planning, prioritization and integration with creative and CXM teams to build best in class consumer experiences.
- You will establish and lead a team of professionals within both media planning and communications Planning, bridging the two disciplines to deliver better and integrated plans overall.
- Together with the rest of the marketing teams you will develop, implement, and refine a multichannel and multi-market communication approach that will have to factor in the nuanced needs of each local market and all the different areas of expertise.
- You will help define clear processes and facilitate a strong collaboration across various teams, areas of expertise, and play a role in defining best-in-class practices we can apply to all marketing and communication activities.
- You will lead the utilization of current MMM, business analytics, brand tracing and past campaign learnings to develop, refine and deliver playbooks and media guidelines.
- You will lead the partnership with our global agency around all communications and media planning activities.
- You will be at the forefront of driving change and providing strategic guidance to your colleagues in Pandora marketing – both globally and locally.
Your expertise:
- You already have a proven track record of driving planning effectiveness across major local or global organizations – either from an global company or via agency experience. You feel ready to take on a dynamic role where you will work with a diverse set of colleagues and areas of expertise.
- 8+ years of solid experience working within Communication and/or Media Planning teams in a global company or from media/advertising agencies.
- You have +5 years of leadership experience.
- You have the ability to manage and coach matrix teams.
- You have the ability to maneuver a large organization and form trusting relationships with key network stakeholders at all levels within the business and externally.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills – being able to communicate complex content in a simple and compelling way.
- Has excellent analytical skills paired with strong problem-solving skills
- You have your finger on the pulse of both what is happening in the media and communications industry and keeping up with trends and new developments
- Excellent English language skills
