Take action on plans to ensure targets are met 

As a Merchandising Planner Moments at Pandora's Global Office, you will play a pivotal role in optimizing our product assortment and inventory management strategies to drive sales and profitability. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and cluster stakeholders to ensure that our product offerings align with market demands and company goals. You will review on a monthly basis the merchandise plans and together with the team identify opportunities or risks. You will get involved in workstream projects aiming to maximize profitability. 

In this role, you will translate global strategy into actionable items related to line planning, financial planning for the product development and sell-in strategy. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver financial results, maximise profits and analyse competitors and trends. You will be responsible for the planning and forecasting of the total assortment for a collection and translate global strategies into seasonal financial objectives. Together with the Inventory Optimisation team, you will ensure collection priorities are cascaded into demand plans and inventory management. Additional accountabilities include: 

 

  • Demand Forecasting: Utilize historical data, market trends, and sales forecasts to predict demand accurately. 

  • Assortment Planning: Collaborate with Product Development and Marketing teams to create comprehensive merchandise line plans that cater to different markets, customer segments, and seasons while keeping margins high and prices competitive. 

  • Open-to-Buy Review: Monitor and manage the open-to-buy budget, making recommendations for adjustments as necessary to align with financial goals. 

  • Reporting and Analysis: Generate regular reports on key performance metrics, including sell-through rates, LfL indexes and Variances to Plan. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis. 

  • Collaboration: Work closely with regional merchandising teams to gather market insights, understand customer preferences, and adjust assortments as needed. 

  • Cross-Functional Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Cluster Merchandising, and Merchandise Financial Planning, to align merchandise strategies with overall business objectives. 

 

Strong planner experience  

To join our Global Merchandising team, we are looking for a strong and curious planner, ideally with global vertical retailing and omnichannel experience. You can also bring experience from a non-retail environment working in either demand planning or financial planning. You must have strong business acumen and be relentlessly commercial, fact-based, and analytical. Your strong analytical skills make you able to manage large sets of data. Apart from being strong in logical reasoning, you are also people-smart, can collaborate cross-functionally and geographically, and you are able to maintain strong working relationships with peers. You are flexible and adaptive to changing priorities, which makes you able to perform under pressure, organise and prioritise workload to meet deadlines. Furthermore, we hope you have or can demonstrate: 

  

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in economics, Finance, Marketing, Business Administration, Fashion Merchandising or similar 

  • 2+ years of solid experience working within Merchandise Planning & product, Demand Planning, or Financial Planning  

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 

  • A passion for jewellery and an understanding of fashion trends is desirable. 

 

You will report to the Manager of Assortment Planning Moments and be part of a great team that collaborates to commercialise the complete assortment across currently one collection to reach the financial ambitions. You will enjoy a multitude of cross-functional collaborations across Product, Marketing, Production, Supply Chain and Finance.
