About the Role:

 

Pandora is seeking an experienced Senior MarTech & Personalization Architect to oversee the architecture and strategic direction of our Personalization initiative and MarTech department. In this role, it is good to have domain knowledge in B2C, personalization (Perso), and MarTech, as you will be instrumental in shaping the technology landscape, evaluating build vs. buy decisions, and ensuring our personalization efforts align with Pandora's broader business objectives. This position plays a pivotal role within our Personalization program, integrating with the MarTech Product Line, and focusing on delivering a cohesive and seamless customer experience across all touchpoints.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • Strategic Vision & Oversight: Define, articulate, and communicate a clear architectural vision for Pandora’s MarTech and Personalization initiative. This role involves setting the strategic direction that guides technological innovation and evolution, ensuring that all architectural decisions are forward-thinking, sustainable, and adaptable to emerging trends. The Architect will play a key role in shaping the future state of the technology landscape and governing its implementation to align with the company's long-term business goals. Lead the evaluation and decision-making process for build vs. buy scenarios within our MarTech capabilities, including Rule Engines, CDP, Customer Golden Record, Content Hub, and related technologies.
  • Architectural Leadership: Develop and maintain the architecture frameworks that support Pandora’s MarTech and Personalization initiatives, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
  • Solution Design: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable solutions that enhance personalization and loyalty programs across retail and digital channels.
  • Technology Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in MarTech and Personalization, providing recommendations to enhance Pandora's capabilities.
  • Integration Management: Ensure the seamless integration of personalization capabilities across multiple platforms, including eCommerce, POS, and Marketing systems.
  • Technology Evaluation: Lead the Request for Information (RFI) and Request for Proposal (RFP) processes to evaluate third-party vendors and technologies, ensuring they meet Pandora's strategic and technical requirements.
  • In-House Solutions: Oversee the design and development of in-house, scalable solutions for MarTech and personalization use cases, ensuring they are robust, efficient, and future-proof.
  • Non-Functional Requirements (NFR): Ensure that all architectural designs meet critical non-functional requirements, such as performance, scalability, security, and maintainability, to guarantee the quality and reliability of MarTech and personalization solutions.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Business stakeholders e.g, Marketing, MarTech Product Line, data engineering, and AI teams to ideiate, design, develop, and implement solutions that are secure, scalable, and aligned with Pandora’s strategic goals.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on technology investments and architectural decisions.

 

Qualifications:

 

  • Proven experience as a Solution Architect with preferable background in personalization and MarTech solutions.
  • knowledge of eCommerce platforms, with a preference for candidates with Salesforce expertise.
  • Deep knowledge in designing and implementing data intensive applications.
  • Familiarity with EA architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, Zachman, or similar.
  • Familiarity Domain-Driven Design (DDD).
  • Experience with Event-Driven Architecture (EDA).
  • Experience with Microservices Architecture.
  • Familiary with Software development frameworks like 4+1 Architectural View Model.
  • Experience with FinOps practices to manage cloud costs effectively, ensuring financial accountability in the scalable cloud architecture.
  • In-depth understanding of cloud-based solution architecture, preferable with Microsoft Azure, including proficiency with Azure’s management and governance features.
  • Demonstrable experience in securing alignment and adherence to design principles across a large organization.
  • Coding skills and experience in developing PoCs.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to lead and influence across various levels of the organization.

 

Additional Skills and Experience:

 

  • Certification in Microsoft Azure or equivalent cloud technology.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or Azure Resource Manager (ARM) templates.
  • Knowledge of cloud security practices and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in applying containerization and orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes within Azure.
  • Understanding of SaaS integration patterns and platform interoperability.
  • Experience with cost-optimization tools specific to Azure, such as Azure Cost Management and Azure Advisor.
  • Ability to translate complex financial, operational, and technical strategies into executable architecture solutions.
