About the role

The Commercial Finance Analyst will oversee end-to-end financial processes for the markets within our Asia Cluster, with a specific focus on managing the financial performance and operations of the retail stores, the financial evaluation of the opening and closure of stores, and the cost and efficiency of the store operations, such as store staffs cost and store rental cost management.

 

You will ensure accurate financial reporting and reliable financial forecasting, while serving as a trusted Finance Business Partner to Asia Cluster’s Sales, Property and local market teams. Champion financial best practices across the Asia markets, ensuring full transparency and delivering actionable insights in partnership with the Cluster Finance team.

Key areas of responsibilities

  • Deliver robust investment simulations and financial models to support strategic business growth
  • Ensure accurate financial reporting and forecasting, with clear analytical path from store-by-store financials and operational performance
  • Ensure timely delivery of financial evaluations for store openings and closures, effectively coordinating all stakeholders throughout the approval process
  • Provide financial and commercial support to guide retail stores performance management, including the store profitability, store operational performance, network portfolio, cost productivity, and etc.
  • Collaborate on cluster and market project teams, including initiatives within the retail store business as well as cross-functional projects beyond finance

 

What type of expertise does the position need?

  • 3 - 5 years of experience in Commercial Finance or Financial Planning & Analysis
  • Work experience in managing retail stores financial performance is required, preferably within retail, FMCG, fashion-luxury, particularly with experience in the Asian markets.
  • Strong regional experience across the Asian market
  • Solid understanding of the Asian market dynamics, cultures and regulations
  • Familiarity in managing over hundreds of retail stores across the Asian markets
  • Proven expertise in advanced MS Excel
  • Experience in data tools such as SQL, Python, and Alteryx; familiarity with AI platforms will be advantageous
  • Delivery focused with excellent attention to detail and strong drive to resolve and improve issues
  • Proactive and result oriented, collaborative team player with strong commitment to the tasks and team
  • Strong communication skills with business stakeholders
