UX Designer, Manufacturing Technology COE

In this newly created role, you will drive the shaping of our end user experience of the applications, engineering, and development practices. This is a hands-on technical role, with a high degree of collaboration to drive cultural change and raise the maturity levels of the Continuous Delivery practices. You will manage the Continuous Integration and Deployment pipeline, from requirements to specifications, quality, release deployments and monitoring of the production health. Job Description

     As a UX Designer within the Pandora Manufacturing Technology COE team, you will work to deliver the new Digital Strategy and Crafting & Supply 2026 Strategy and the ambition of creating the SMART, Connected factory and Data-driven manufacturing. You will focus on User Experience design and development for the most critical part of the strategy, i.e., shaping and implementing a new ecosystem for Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM) capabilities across the plants, while also managing dependencies and integrations for other product teams within the domain.


Your key accountabilities will be to:

  • Deliver high quality User Experience solutions and raising the bar on engineering standards and delivery. You will need to be truly agile in approach, with a collaborative working style and able to thrive in a complex but rewarding environment
  • Design and Develop Application user experience using a disciplined (Agile) development process for SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (SAP DMC)
  • Gather and evaluate user requirements, in collaboration with product managers, process managers, business analysts and engineers
  • Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows, user personas, user journeys and sitemaps
  • Propose and sketch out a range of visual concepts both on paper and using software applications
  • Work on cross-platform applications to develop user experiences covering mobile phones, tablets, and computers
  • Implement and support Continuous Integration and Deployment Pipelines
  • Ensure continuous availability of various tools supporting Source Code Management & Release Management including Source Control, Continuous Integration, & Change Management
  • Work with cross-functional teams in design, development, and implementation of enterprise scalable features
  • Support, troubleshoot and analyse code on all three layers of the stack related to infrastructure, middleware, and continuous integration and delivery frameworks
  • Deploy code and other initiative-taking maintenance activities to keep the services up and running
  • Be a key expert on DevOps and Continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD)
  • Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages, integration tools and engineering concepts
  • Analyse and solve any problems and find long-term solutions to prevent those problems accordingly
  • Daily work in development activities will involve technical design creation, coding, code review, implementation & unit testing
  • Participate in the agile team ceremonies, including sprint planning, decomposition, and daily stand-ups
  • Work closely with Quality Assurance team and Support team as well as other related parties
  • Production Release Implementation plan and Install Support, as required

 

What is needed to succeed?

  • 6+ years of large enterprise scale design & engineering of application implementations within manufacturing, retail, fashion or FMCG
  • Knowledge in User Experience design and development, SAP UI5, HTML5, NodeJS, SAP Fiori applications
  • Manufacturing technology experience, in one or multiple areas including Manufacturing Execution Systems (SAP ME/ SAP DMC), S/4HANA ERP strong benefit
  • Concept thinker with a keen visual awareness and willingness to learn specialist programmes
  • Empathy with the end users so that you can understand what they want from the applications
  • Aptitude for using a logical, step-by-step approach to ensure designs are user friendly and simple for end users
  • Experience in DevOps engineering, cloud infrastructure and design within Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration, microservice frameworks within the Manufacturing domain
  • Cloud application development / integration solutions (e.g., PaaS, API Management, Serverless), Cloud application design, software engineering and practices (design / development / deployment, Agile, Scrum, SAFe)
  • Collaborative and inspiring person, who is eager to share, teach and learn from others, whilst having fun along the way
  • Strong analytical, decision-making, and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent presentation, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Agile experience, i.e., have a good understanding and practical experience with Agile delivery and Lean methodologies (SAFe, Spotify, SCRUM, Kanban), ideally with SPC, SAFe RTE or similar certification.
