Supervisor, Physical Testing

Responsibilities:

• Perform tests (physical & mechanical, performance) on incoming jobs independently according to the standard procedures with due consideration of the job priority and record test results in the correct format and prepare test report
• Give advice on the testing procedure, any required tests to the others
• Keep track on all testing status and ensure the due date is followed
• Ensure that test equipment and instruments are in good condition as well as duly calibrated according to the assigned calibration schedule
• Assist in new test development including identify potential improvement areas to existing testing techniques and design experiment & control testing parameter
• Support with testing data to improve the weakness area of product concept/design
• Ensure closed-loop communication of quality issues from mass production to the other relevant departments
• Ensure Laboratory management to verify products and material compliance and conformance

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s/ Master degree in Mechanical engineering, Material Engineer, Material Science or related fields
• Major in material engineer/material science or related fields
• At least 3-5 years’ experience in material and consumer product testing
• Manufacturing, testing laboratory environment and management level in jewelry industry are preferred
• Have knowledge & experience of physical & mechanical testing method & test equipment
• Advance instrumental testing for various materials; UTM, machine, micro hardness testing
• SKill and experince to design experiment and control testing parameter
• Good computer skill to MS office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Fluent in English
