Main purpose of the role:
- To identify and implement improvements, provide support to maintain quality control after innovation technology implementation, and collaborate cross-functionally to elevate the overall efficiency and quality of the jewelry production line.
- To contribute to the continuous improvement of manufacturing workflows and uphold the company's commitment to delivering exceptional, meticulously crafted jewelry pieces to our customer.
- To contribute to the creation of a streamlined, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing process that meets the company's production objectives while adhering to safety and regulatory standards.
- To responsibility will be to investigate issues related to machinery, identify the root cause of problems, develop and implement effective solutions, and ensure consistent process control within the manufacturing environment.

Risk Mitigation:
- Conduct thorough analyses of jewelry production processes, identifying potential failure modes and weaknesses.
- Create an OCAP is a documented plan that outlines the steps to be taken when an out-of-control situation is identified.
Process Control:
- To oversee and optimize overall equipment effectiveness across the manufacturing facility.
- To maintain consistency, reduce variability, and enhance overall productivity.
- Enforce quality control measures to maintain and improve to the highest standards of craftsmanship and product quality are consistently achieved.
Solution development :
- Develop innovative and practical solutions to address identified root causes, focusing on improving machine performance, reducing downtime, and enhancing product quality.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including maintenance, operations, and quality assurance to ensure comprehensive solutions are implemented effectively.
Innovation:
- Stay abreast of new technologies and methodologies that can enhance process efficiency.
- Integrate innovative technologies into existing processes where applicable.
- Maintain quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of new technologies and innovations in the production process, such as automation, and other advancements, to maintain efficiency and precision.
Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
- Work closely with the I&PD, production, pre-production maintenance, quality surveillance & improvement and manufacturing quality control teams to ensure seamless collaboration, communication and integration throughout the jewelry manufacturing process.
Continuous Improvement:
- Proactively identify areas for improvement and develop strategies for continuous process enhancement, cost reduction, increasing productivity, lead time reduction, FROT , and waste minimization.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and advancements in process engineering.
- Use the insights gained from SPC and Cpk analysis to implement continuous improvement initiatives aimed at reducing process variability, improving quality, and increasing process capability over time.
Training and Development:
- Maintain and improve quality control guidance for production staff on new processes, equipment, and technologies to ensure a skilled and adaptable workforce.
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Data Analysis and Documentation:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of processes, procedures, changes and improvements for reference and compliance purposes.
- Maintain accurate records of root cause analysis findings, solution implementations, and process control measures.
Cost-Efficiency Enhancement:
- Evaluate and propose initiatives to optimize operational processes, aiming at reducing operational costs while maintaining or improving product quality.
Safety and Environmental Compliance:
- Develop and implement strategies to minimize the environmental impact of manufacturing processes.
- Ensure that processes adhere to safety regulations and environmental standards.
KPI’s
Plant KPI :
- Percentage increase in overall production efficiency (Productivity).
- Reduce the defect rate, scrap rate, and rework rate (%S&R).
- Control cost per unit
- Number of non-compliance and safety incidents (Safety).
- Behaviour must rely on Pandora's values.
Individual KPI (As assigned)
- Percentage reduction in operational costs (Cost saving).
- Number of successful process innovations implemented (Improvement project/Kaizen/Lean/Six sigma).
- OEE (Downtime reduction)
- Machine utilization
Responsibility for Revenue/CAPEX/OPEX:
- Collaborate with management to identify and justify capital expenditure needs related to process improvements, new technologies, or equipment upgrades.
- To analyze the benefit and side impact in terms of CAPEX and OPEX for every improvement project before implementation.
Educational background:
- Bachelor's degree or Master's degree.
Field of study:
- Metallurgical Engineering
- Materials Engineering or Science
- Industrial Engineering
- Chemical Engineering or Industrial Chemistry
- Or related field.

Pivotal and professional qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in large scale manufacturing, production, process engineer position.

Personal Competencies:
- Technical competency in analytical, problem solving skills, process management, change management and advanced statistical techniques is a plus.
- Experience in continuous improvement (Lean master or Six sigma belt certification is preferred)
- Experience involves the design, development, analysis, testing, and project management in production line.
- Proven experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus on equipment performance optimization and OEE improvement.
- Computer skills, Microsoft Office, Minitab and power BI.
- Good of both written and spoken English.
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong to effectively prioritize and execute multitasks while under pressure.
