Key accountabilities:

 

•    Key Objectives:
Specialist, Maintenance Innovation Engineer is to lead the maintenance project, integration, design and maintenance of advanced technologies and innovative machinery within the organization. This role aims to ensure that the maintenance team is equipped with the necessary skills, tools, and knowledge to effectively manage and sustain new and existing machinery, ultimately contributing to operational efficiency, cost reduction, and the achievement of organizational goals. Additionally, the role involves ensuring that new machinery designs comply with safety regulations and industry standards. Oversee janitorial and general services operations at local plants. Design, develop, and maintain mechatronic systems integrating mechanical, electronic, and software components for innovative solutions in automotive, manufacturing, robotics, and consumer electronics industries.

•    Key Duties:
•    Lead the implementation and integration of new machinery and advanced technologies into existing operations, ensuring seamless functionality and minimal disruption.
•    Proficiency in diagnosing and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.
•    Develop and implement innovative maintenance strategies and best practices tailored to advanced machinery, enhancing equipment reliability and performance.
•    Equip the maintenance team with the necessary skills and knowledge through comprehensive training programs focused on new technologies and machinery.
•    Optimize maintenance processes to reduce downtime, improve machine availability, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
•    Implement cost-effective maintenance solutions, monitor maintenance expenditures, and contribute to the reduction of operational costs while maintaining high standards of machinery performance.

•    Machine Uptime: Percentage of time machines are operational and available for production.
•    Preventive Maintenance Completion Rate: Percentage of scheduled preventive maintenance tasks completed on time.

•    Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF): Average time between breakdowns or failures.
•    Mean Time to Repair (MTTR): Average time taken to repair a machine after a failure.

Responsibility for Revenue/CAPEX/OPEX:

•    Evaluate and recommend capital investments in new technologies and machinery that will enhance production capabilities and efficiency.
•    Plan and oversee the integration of advanced technologies into existing systems to improve performance and extend the lifespan of machinery.
•    Develop and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring that all expenditures are justified, tracked, and kept within allocated limits.
•    Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising on machine reliability or performance.
•    Optimize maintenance operations to reduce waste and improve resource utilization.
•    Monitor and report on CAPEX and OPEX performance, providing detailed analyses and recommendations to management.
•    Conduct financial analyses of maintenance activities and investments to evaluate their impact on the company’s financial performance.

Educational background:

High vocational certificate, Bachelor's degree or higher.

Field of study:(Preferred education)

•    Field in Mechatronic, Mechanical, Electrical, Automation, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
•    Advanced certifications or coursework in maintenance engineering, reliability engineering, or a similar discipline is highly desirable.

Pivotal and professional qualifications:  Extensive knowledge of machinery maintenance, including preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
•    Experience in Lean,Six-sigma, KAIZEN, TPM will be advantage  
•    Experience with advanced maintenance technologies, such as Robot, PLC, HMI, Sensor, Transducer, IoT, AI for predictive maintenance, and automation systems (GXW2, GXW3, GT Designer, IAI RC/EC, SERVO,etc.).
•    Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in maintenance engineering, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
•    Demonstrated experience in leading maintenance teams and project management.
•    Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and compliance requirements related to machinery and maintenance operations.
•    Professional certifications (if available) such as Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional, Certifications related to mechanical design and automation systems, or similar credentials. Safety certifications such as OSHA, SBA, SSA certification or equivalent.
•    Proven project management skills, including the ability to plan, execute, and oversee maintenance projects within scope, time, and budget constraints.
•    Strong understanding of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost management in relation to maintenance activities.
•    Proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), familiarity with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems.
•    Strong track record of driving continuous improvement initiatives and implementing innovative maintenance practices.
•    Ability to integrate new technologies and processes to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.
