Specialist, Direct Materials Planner

Main purpose of the role ;
• Ensuring that materials are readiness for production when needed both campaign and replenishment orders.
• Monitoring and maintaining MRP parameter set up, optimal inventory levels to meet production and financial targets.
• involves balancing the demand for materials with the available supply and collaborating with various stakeholders.
Key accountabilities:
• Material and Production Planning
o Manage supply of direct materils to ensure the availability and readiness according to the time line.
o Analyze direct materials, production schedules, and inventory levels to create effective material plans to production each direct materials category.
o Coordinating with master production scheduling teams to align material availability with production schedules.
o Collaborate with materials buyers team and stakeholders to ensure on-time materials delivery, prioritization and prevent production delays.
o Implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of materials management processes.
• Demand and Supply Analysis
o Collaborate with Global supply chain to understand demand patterns and fluctuations.
o Adjust material plans based on changes in demand and production schedules.
o Generate purchase plan for materials based on MRP result and requirements.
o Collaborate with material buyers for material supply plan such as weekly requirement and pull in plan.
• Inventory Management
o Monitor and maintain optimal inventory levels to meet production and demand including day to day oprations on materials transfer and allocation to sites.
o Implement inventory control measures to minimize excess or obsolete stock.
o Coordinating with logistics and warehouse team on the transportation and distribution of materials to each production site.
• Risk Management
o Identify and escalate potential risks in the supply chain, such as shortages or delays, and develop contingency plans.
o Mitigate risks through strategic planning and collaboration with relevant stakeholders
• Data Analysis and Reporting
o Analyze data related to materials, BOM, usage for materials purchase plan both Campaign and replenishment orders.
o Generate reports to provide insights into material planning metrics such as materials readiness, week of supply and inventory performance.
o Utilizing data analytics tools to analyze and interpret data related to demand, supply, and inventory.
o Identifying trends and areas for improvement in the materials management process.
• Cross-functional Collaboration
o Work closely with material buyers, production, master planning, scheduling, logistics and warehouse, quality and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment in material planning.
o Collaborate with other departments to address issues and optimize overall business processes.
