Senior Manager, Tax & BOI

KEY OBJECTIVES:

  •  Ensure PPT compliance with BOI ,tax and Customs rules and regulations


 KEY DUTIES:

  • Drive best practice and process excellence in Board of Investment (BOI), Tax and Customs in PPT.
  • Manage a team responsible for monitoring and ensuring compliance with BOI, tax (eg VAT, income tax and withholding tax) and customs obligations.
  • Managing external consultants, leading projects/ engagements.
  • Provide BOI, Tax and Customs advice on a wide range of business initiatives, enabling informed decision making.
  • Support a range of global tax processes and the local execution of tax policies, including transfer pricing, quarterly income tax accounting and providing input for the forecast of the group’s effective tax rate.
  • Leading tax and BOI audits, investigations, and reviews in close cooperation with the finance team, Group Tax team and other relevant stakeholders.
  • Preparing forecasts of tax payments.
  • Managing and liaising with a wide range of different stakeholders with respect to BOI, tax and customs activities and developments.
  • Build up and maintain strong working relationship with  Senior Officers in Government authorities (BOI, Tax and Customs).
  • Cooperating closely with the Group Tax Team to ensure alignment on the implementation and execution of tax policies, leveraging materials/support from the Group Tax Team where possible, and keeping the Group Tax team informed about developments.

 

Skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in accounting, tax or other business field,
  • 10 years relevant experience in tax, BOI and/or customs working in house or as an advisor,
  • Experience in multinational company is a plus,
  • Experience leading teams on a day to day and project basis,
  • Deep knowledge of Thai BOI, tax and/or customs requirements and obligations,
  • Commercial understanding with awareness of both legal and tax environment,
  • Critical thinking, problem-solving and analytical mindset,
  • Strong communication and leadership skills,
  • The ability to think creatively to build scenarios and find solutions,
  • Can work independently and hands on,
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build strong relationship with internal stakeholders, tax authorities and advisors,
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills,
  • Possess the strategic perspective and create sustained results for Pandora (financial, non-financial),
  • Demonstrate ability to make hard decisions, making the right trade-offs,
  • Effectively plan and efficiently deliver exceptional work while handling both volume and complexity,
  • Is smart about other people; has an ability to lead, manage, motivate, and run own team of future leaders.
