Operations Excellence Specialist

Main Purpose of the Role
 

This role will report directly to the Operations Excellence Director and will be responsible :

  1. To build, maintain & manage both Strategic, Operational Reporting & Analysis to support efficiently & effectively running the business.  e.g. optimizing back orders, facilitating “fair share” allocations, cost controlling and cost optimization, for example on freight and warehousing. This includes managing data accuracy, validity and transparency.
  2. To proactively support both short term and long-term operational planning & execution of DC operations.
  3. With a focus on our TMS (CENTIRO) Systems, to engage with the SME community both locally and globally to build our internal knowledge of our Systems in order to run the operations efficiently & effectively. In addition to building & maintaining training material to support & train end users.
  4. To work closely with the LEAN & Change Team in order to keep our SOPs updated and collaborate on projects that have major changes to the business.
  5. To assist in System Support, Development & Regular Updates activities to ensure available, stable & efficient daily operations with minimal downtime. This includes the building & execution of test cases and supporting testing activities.
  6. To assist in generating ideas for improvement and execute Strategic Projects within APAC Operations not necessarily limited to systems and reporting.

 

Scope for “APAC Operations” covers the Thailand DC itself, plus the market clusters served by this main DC and its secondary DC’s covering distribution of jewellery, Point-Of-Sale-Materials & e-commerce of jewellery.

 

Key Objectives
 

The core responsibility of this role is driving and sustaining reliable Systems & Reporting for our APAC Operations.
 

The first key objective will be to ensure a smooth transition between our legacy computer systems to our new computer systems through coordinating with local and global colleagues.


In addition, to increase fill rates, decrease unnecessary inventory, decrease carrying costs, decrease lead time to customer, improve accuracy and improve overall operational efficiencies. 


Keys to success in realizing these objectives could be:

  • Analysis and visualization of critical data in Dashboards & Reports.
  • Utilization of BI tools and data aggregation methodologies.
  • Support the Operations Excellence Manager in identifying areas of improvement
  • Assisting the Operations Teams in making decisions based on data-driven analysis.
  • Assisting to ensure Systems uptime and Users are sufficiently trained to be effective in their roles.

 

Key Duties

  • Training of employees to develop and expand competencies in Reporting, project management and general Computer based tasks.
  • Support APAC Operations in collaboration with D&T and Project Teams on System Support & Development Activities related primarily to TMS (CENTIRO).
  • Creation & management of training materials.
  • Data collection and analysis.
  • Project Management & Execution.
  • Work across other team functions to understand the connection between various stakeholders including clusters, DC, GSC, D&T and other Teams.
  • Advocating the company values.
  • Be responsible for management to achieve the policy, objectives and goals of quality management, work environment, occupational health and safety management or other systems arranged by the company such as ISO, OHSAS and so on.
  • Measurable positive impacts to KPIs.
  • Achievement of project timelines and agreed goals.
  • Training effectiveness score.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Logistic & Supply Chain Management, Industrial Management, Engineering or related field
  • A minimum 3 years of experience in operations management, project management, or related field
  • Can work independently with high degree of accountability
  • Self Driven
  • Be ambitious and goal oriented & driven by development both personally and professionally.
  • Presentation & Facilitation skills
  • Knowledge of Project feasibility analysis would be a plus 
  • Fast learner 
  • Problem solving skill is needed 
  • Ability to identify the area of improvement in the process and their own skills
  • Ability to research on topics by oneself  
  • Open minded and listen to the other people's feedback  
  • Perform as an Ideal Team Player and an effective Leader
  • Ability to work within and as a team
  • Proficient in using SAP, AX, WMS(REFLEX), TMS(CENTIRO), PowerBI, Microsoft Office packages and data analysis tools.
  • Good communication in Thai and English
