As an Officer, Physical & Material Analysis Lab, you will play a crucial role in testing, analysing, and optimising materials and components to enhance production efficiency. We love that you will...

  • Ensure timely delivery of quality issue reports by monitoring and controlling KPI team performance.
  • Carefully review test requests to ensure all required details are provided, sufficient samples are available, and sample conditions are verified. Communicate with the requestor to resolve any issues.
  • Conduct daily assigned test duties following standard procedures, considering job priority, and accurately recording test results in the correct format for draft report preparation.
  • Prepare samples and perform mechanical and material analysis tests, including UTM, torque, rubbing, SEM/EDX, OM, XRF, hardness, colorimetric, and cross-sectioning.
  • Lead one development or new test method project per year.
  • Oversee machine cleaning, equipment calibration, and maintenance duties.
  • Manage sample handling, including storage, disposal, and related documentation.
  • Maintain environmental conditions and ensure the testing area remains clean and organised.
  • Ensure compliance with quality systems, including ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, and ISO/IEC 17025.
  • Perform additional tasks as assigned by superiors.

 

We love that you are...

  • A graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, specialising in Materials Engineering, Materials Science, Applied Physics, or Metallurgy.
  • Experienced with at least one year in a physical and failure analysis laboratory (fresh graduates are also welcome).
  • Proficient in operating UTM, torque, SEM/EDX, and cross-sectioning equipment.
  • Well-versed in laboratory testing principles.
  • A team player, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Proactive and enthusiastic, with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in English presentation and communication.   **The ideal candidates must adhere to the working conditions, which include wearing a uniform provided by the company. Personal IT devices, accessories, and nail polish are not permitted. However, a company phone and laptop will be provided depending on the requirements of the position.**
