The Officer, Machine Maintenance, is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency of machines through routine preventive maintenance, service maintenance, breakdown maintenance, troubleshooting issues, and making repairs as needed. Key responsibilities include adhering to safety standards, documenting maintenance activities, improving machine efficiency, and collaborating with internal/external stakeholders to support overall production goals. Efficient communication, training operators, managing inventory, and staying updated on technological advancements are also crucial aspects of the role. collaborating with the team, continuous learning, and strict adherence to safety practices.

Key accountabilities

• Conduct routine preventive maintenance activities to ensure machines operate efficiently and minimize the risk of unexpected breakdowns.
• Perform scheduled service maintenance tasks to keep machines in optimal working condition, addressing wear and tear.
• Address machine breakdowns promptly, troubleshoot issues, and execute necessary repairs to minimize downtime.
• Strictly adhere to safety standards and protocols, creating a secure working environment for all team members.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, including repairs, replacements, and preventive measures for future reference.
• Identify opportunities to enhance machine efficiency and implement improvements to optimize overall performance.

• Mechanical/Electrical or related fields
• At least 2-3 years of practical experience in machine maintenance, demonstrating proficiency in preventive, service, and breakdown maintenance.
• Knowledge of machinery operations, troubleshooting techniques, and hands-on experience in making repairs and improvements.
• Relevant certifications in machine maintenance, safety protocols, or any industry-specific qualifications.
• Demonstrated commitment to safety standards with certifications in occupational safety and health.
• Basic familiarity with inventory management principles, ensuring the availability of necessary components for maintenance activities.
• Background in Jewellery industry will be advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team, contributing to a positive team dynamic.
