Main purpose of the role

  • Be one of our lead network architects with dedicated focus to manufacturing and OT requirements for network solutions.
  • The role of the network architect is to ensure that business requirements are translated into IT deliveries of switching, wireless and network security technologies.
  • Be the number one specialist in network and network security technologies used in the manufacturing domain.
  • The network architect is the trusted advisor of the Pandora management team on all aspects of IT network and IT network security.
  • The network architect acts as the ultimate technical escalation level in operational matters involving network and network security solutions.

  • Based on insights into network, network security and general knowledge of manufacturing, create architecture and design documents contributing to global technology roadmaps.
  • Ensure that the architecture of the wired and wireless network provides stable operations and high-performance meeting business requirements in our manufacturing locations.
  • Contribute significantly to stable operations by reviewing change requests and operational reports.
  • Drive standardization of the deployed network according to the architectural standards set.
  • Build strong partnerships with our suppliers of IT solutions and our stakeholders in manufacturing.
  • Drive cost efficiency in the network.
  • Design and drive implementation of IT Security initiatives together with the IT Security department.
  • Represent network deliveries in business and IT projects from analysis, design and transition to operation and continuous improvement.
  • Supervising external suppliers to implement network solutions according architecture standards.
  • Stay updated on development in technologies of the domain, identify the relevant improvements and convert these to business cases for Pandora.
  • Prioritize initiatives, balancing business requirements, performance impact and security implications.
  • Delivery of input for OPEX and CAPEX budgeting.

 

We love that you are…

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5-8 years of professional experience in several network implementing, operating, standardizing and optimizing network infrastructure in manufacturing and Manufacturing Operations Management environments.
  • Hold several certifications related to one or more infrastructure areas: data center, Enterprise infrastructure, security end user computing, and/or voice infrastructure.
  • Worked and have experience from a global company.
  • Experience in project management desirable
  • Strong English proficiency.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven cross-functionally collaboration skills, both with IT and business disciplines.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage large sets of data and present results in a simple manner.
