Manager, Production Academy

 

KEY OBJECTIVES:

  • Developing, executing, and overseeing a comprehensive jewelry skill development program, including essential competencies such as machinery operation, shopfloor management, quality control, and mandatory warehouse management skills.
  • Supervise end-to-end learning & development programs of technical and leadership skill in production and production support scope.

 

 KEY DUTIES:

Skill Development Program Design:

  • Create and sustain a jewelry skill development curriculum that aligns with the company's strategic objectives and industry benchmarks, encompassing additional technical proficiencies essential for production, such as machinery operation, shopfloor management, quality control, and mandatory warehouse management skills.
  • Develop dual skills / Multi skills annual plan and programs

Skill Level Standardization and Skill Matrix:

  • Standardize skill levels across various jewelry-related positions, providing clear criteria for skill assessment and compensation determination.
  • Develop a skill matrix to visualize and quantify employees' skill levels, aiding in targeted skill development efforts.
  • Create and maintain a skill database to catalog and categorize the skills of jewelry professionals.

Training Delivery:

  • Organize and deliver training sessions, workshops, and seminars to enhance the skills of jewelry artisans and professionals.
  • Develop OJT Annual Plan and Program and ensure the effectiveness of OJT programs
  • Arrange refreshment for existing craftsman to uplift standard skill
  • Manage on the professionalism of the jewelry skills training and development, ensure on standard quality, accurate, impactful and cost effective.

Content Development:

  • Create training materials, including manuals, guides, videos, and online resources, to support skill development programs.
  • Manage and incoporate with expert in create and develop course outline, learning material

Assessment and Evaluation:

  • Establish methods to assess the effectiveness of training programs and continuously improve them based on feedback and res

Skill-Based Compensation:

  • Innovate and implement a skill-based compensation framework.
  • Collaborate with HR and Finance to ensure equitable and competitive compensation packages for skilled jewelry professionals.

Technology Integration:

  • Stay current with technological advancements in the jewelry industry, identify relevant tools and processes, and integrate them into training programs.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with production, product development, Innovation and other stakeholders to identify skill gaps and customize training programs accordingly.

Industry Research:

  • Stay updated on the latest jewelry industry trends, techniques, and technologies to ensure that training materials and programs remain relevant.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage the budget for skill development programs, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency.

Reporting:

  • Generate regular reports and metrics on the effectiveness and impact of skill development initiatives, skill-based compensation, and technological advancements for presentation to senior management.

Team Management:

  • Supervise a team and providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.
