Manager, Category Management Indirect Material
RUNNING THE BUSINESS
Sourcing & Supplier Management
• Sourcing Process: lead the sourcing and ensuring alignment with sourcing procedures and policies.
• Spend Analysis: Conduct thorough Indirect spend analysis to identify potential savings. Use this data to collaborate with Procurement Manager and execute cost-saving initiatives effectively.
• Supplier Negotiation: Lead negotiations focusing on both commercial and technical terms to meet Pandora's requirements. Prepare thoroughly for negotiations to ensure favorable outcomes.
• Category Strategy: Align and implement strategies for each category, with Category Manager’s direction.
• Supplier Base Management: Coordinate to PPV Procurement Manager to maintain a robust supplier base for each sub-category. Ensure you have a sufficient number of ready-to-use suppliers for upcoming projects.
• Conflict of Interest: Minimize conflicts by challenging the status quo and ensuring alignment with key stakeholders. Engage stakeholders early and often to maintain strategic and tactical alignment.
• Contract Negotiation: Draft contracts based on master templates and consult with Legal for any deviations. Ensure all contracts meet legal and company standards.
Cost Management
• Negotiate and drive competitive cost structure and credit term. Develop robust action plan to closely monitor cost saving performance as well as headwinds through performance report to achieve budgetary goals.
• Perform market research/benchmarking on suppliers with input from Production team and other relevant stakeholders
• Gather market intelligence on upcoming trends and changes
Ethical & Sustainable Procurement
• Ensure responsible sourcing initiative and collaborate effectively with both external and internal stakeholders including Global Sustainability Board
Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholder to define and manage risk of project and also ensure high adherences to standard of procurement.
• Support supplier assessment and collaborate effectively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure stringent standards
Financial and Budget control
• Input and execute on departmental budget, objectives/KPIs and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
CHANGING THE BUSINESS
Supply resilience
• Collaborate to PPV Procurement Manager to execute an effective risk mitigation (for example multi-source, supply chain mapping and etc.) to safeguard against disruptions.
Sustainability
• Support Carbon emission team and drive suppliers on carbon emission engagement programme to deliver company target commitment
LEADING THE BUSINESS
• Supervise high performing procurement teams that meet agreed objectives and which deliver best practice results, added value, strategical approach and continuous improvements
