Job Description
As an Engineering Manager within the Pandora Manufacturing Technology COE team, you will work to deliver the new Digital strategy and Crafting & Supply 2026 strategy and the ambition of creating the SMART, Connected factory and Data-driven manufacturing. You will focus on driving application development for the most critical part of the strategy, i.e., shaping and implementing a new ecosystem for Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), Manufacturing ERP, Advanced Planning & Scheduling capabilities across the plants, while also managing dependencies and the technical architecture and applications, integration for other product teams within the domain.
Your key accountabilities will be to:
- Deliver high quality solutions and raising the bar on engineering standards and delivery. You will need to be truly agile in approach, with a collaborative working style and able to thrive in a complex but rewarding environment
- Mentor and manage a dynamic team of Digital Engineers across multiple areas including development, integration, and operations, providing leadership and motivation to team members
- Manage design and development of cloud-based applications using a disciplined (Agile) development process
- Lead continuous availability of various tools supporting Source Code Management & Release Management including Source Control, Continuous Integration, & Change Management
- Ensure technology teams and suppliers are adhering to enterprise architecture, engineering standards and technical compliance
- Engage with cross-functional teams in design, development and implementation of enterprise scalable features related to enabling higher developer productivity, environment monitoring and self-healing, and facilitate autonomous delivery teams
- Understand business requirements and function as a senior technical adviser to identify the technical needed to provide a good architecture design product
- Perform structured analysis to solve technical problems and find long-term solutions to prevent the recurrence of the problems
- Participate in the agile team ceremonies, including sprint planning, decomposition, and daily stand-ups
- Work closely with Quality Assurance team and Support team as well as other related parties
- Production Release Implementation plan and Install Support, as required
What is needed to succeed:
- 10+ years of large enterprise scale design & engineering of application implementations within manufacturing, retail, fashion or FMCG
- Experience and a proven track record of designing and implementing Manufacturing technology solutions
- Experience in any of SAP platforms including SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (SAP DMC), SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME), SAP S/4HANA ERP would be an advantage
- Experience in SAP RFC, BAPI, ALE & configuration, iDocs, XML, WebAS, message services & integration
- Experience in Automated data collection, integration, development using standard MII / PCo connectors & utilities, DCS, SCADA, PLC, OPC, Kepware, OSI Pi and data historians
- Knowledge on JavaScript, Java Spring Boot, NodeJS would be an advantage
- Knowledge in application / integration design and architecture, latest trend with technology industry, demonstrated success in delivering complex software-based solutions
- Experience in DevOps engineering, cloud infrastructure and design within Azure App Service, API management, serverless technologies, container orchestration, microservice frameworks within the Manufacturing domain
- Cloud application development solutions (e.g., SaaS, PaaS, API Management, Serverless), Cloud application design, software engineering and practices (design / development / testing / deployment)
- Agile experience, i.e., have a good understanding and practical experience with Agile delivery and Lean methodologies (SAFe, Spotify, SCRUM, Kanban), preferably with SPC, SAFe RTE or similar certification
