Director, Production Engineering (AAA)
Imagine being responsible for to lead our production engineering team. This role will be responsible for overseeing the design, development, and optimization of manufacturing processes and systems to enhance productivity and efficiency while ensuring product quality.
The role will work closely with our product development team ensuring smooth launches of new products in production with the expected costs and quality.

Product Master Production role
- Oversee the creation of exceptional, production-ready product masters.
- Drive innovation and optimize processes for high-quality product master development.
- Ensure smooth transition from product master to mass production through strong collaboration.
Key Duties:
- Lead the product master production processes and standards and supervise and guide the team responsible for product master creation.
- Actively identify and adopt new technologies, materials, and methods for refining product master development.
- Ensure seamless coordination and communication with I&PD and design teams for efficient product master translation.
- Continuously evaluate product master quality, accuracy, and fitness for purpose in mass production and ensure quality control systems and metrics specifically for product master development.
- Collaborate with the Production Excellence team to address issues arising due to product master imperfections.
- Manage product master creation timelines and budgets, aligning them with overall project goals.
Pre-Production role
- Oversee the seamless transition of new product designs from product development team to mass production.
- Drive efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and quality excellence throughout the pre-production stages.
- Establish strong collaboration across teams for optimized project outcomes.
- Champion a strategic mindset within pre-production processes and decision-making.
Key Duties:
- Oversee all pre-production phases, including prototyping, product master handover, tooling, and pilot runs.
- Develop long-term plans for technology adoption and innovation within pre-production, aligning with the organization's broader strategic goals.
- Establish, track, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) for pre-production efficiency and effectiveness and proactively assess and mitigate risk throughout the pre-production phases to ensure on-time and on-budget product launches.
- Lead collaboration with I&PD, supply chain, quality, production, and the Product Master team to resolve problems and make data-driven decisions.
- Identify and recommend new technologies and methods that enhance pre-production processes.
- Ensure successful handover of new products to production, including all relevant data, documentation, training, and finalized product masters.
Production Excellence role
- Lead continuous improvement across production, emphasizing efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost control.
- Champion collaboration and standardization for best practices across manufacturing locations.
- Drive production performance with strategic planning and data insights.
- Align production excellence efforts with the company's overall strategy.
Key Duties:
- Lead the development of manufacturing strategies and long-term roadmaps emphasizing productivity, resource optimization, cost reduction, or lead time improvements.
- Perform in-depth benchmark analyses against industry competitors to identify gaps and prioritize strategic focus areas within production.
- Facilitate knowledge sharing and best practices adoption across various production sites.
- Evaluate and pilot new technologies or innovations provided by I&PD or other development teams, assessing suitability for mass production.
- Lead cross-functional troubleshooting teams to solve complex production problems, product quality swiftly and ensure on long-term corrective actions, preventing recurring issue.
- Design and implement data-driven systems to monitor and analyse key production metrics for strategic decision-making.
- Build a culture of continuous improvement emphasizing long-term, strategic outcomes alongside immediate gains.

- 10 years or above of experience in manufacturing, background in large scale production manufacturing.
- 5 years or above in management roles
- Dynamic environment of production requires attention and close monitor.
- Problem solving and decision making under limited timeframe and resources.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and MS office Suite
- Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance in manufacturing environments
- Experience working in an international firm with diverse cultural and large-scale manufacturing.
- Strategic Mindset: The ability to see the big picture, assess long-term impacts, and link operational and pre-production activities to the broader organizational goals.
- Data-Driven Decision Making: Comfort with collecting, analysing, and interpreting complex data sets to support informed planning and problem-solving.
