Main purpose of the role:

  • Ownership of Diamonds by Pandora (DBP) supply function:
    • Drive strategic & tactical decisions for developing Diamonds by Pandora supply function within Pandora Craft & Supply (PC&S) and line up resources to deliver key functional objectives in alignment with global strategic goals
    • Optimize DBP supply chain and manage supplier relationship
    • Provide leadership recommendations to improve in terms of cost, end to end inventory management and establishing DBP operations in close collaboration with external suppliers
  • Engage global stakeholders:
    • Openly engage global stakeholders for critical activities
    • Take accountability and ensure effective collaboration with all shared services functions
    • Key lead for development of DBP processes and organization and integrate DBP as part of day to day operations
       

Key accountabilities:

  • CHANGING THE BUSINESS:
    • Support VP, Supply Chain & Sustainabilty’s strategy development and decision making based on data-driven analysis in relation to Diamonds by Pandora
    • Translate Pandora Group’s Diamonds by Pandora strategic goals to PC&S tactical and operational outcomes
    • Ensure clarity in roles, scope, and decision rights in relation to work and activities related to Diamonds by Pandora
    • Ownership of business case approvals, Overseeing the progress, and monitoring the potential outcomes of Diamonds by Pandora initiatives
    • Ensure clarity in resource allocation and staffing including allocation of ownership, clarity in role, responsibility, and decision rights
    • Work in coordination with Risk Management to identify key risks that may affect the strategic outcomes of the organization
    • Coordinate with CPH/Pandora Group on Diamonds by Pandora related strategic initiatives and moderate communication/feedback channels between PC&S and Group
    • Be accountable to ensure flawless launches for Diamond by Pandora as well as margin management
       
  • RUNNING THE BUSINESS:
    • Work closely with functional team to ensure smooth introduction of Diamonds by Pandora to the market
    • Oversee and drive the day-to-day operation, ensuring end-to-end category management activities, from defining category, setting objectives and targets, create tactics, implementing the tactics, assessing performance, and reviewing the outcomes of it
    • Monitor and manage supplier capacity and production plan against short term and long term rolling forecast
    • Track and publish functional performance, identify areas for improvement and flag up any deviations from strategic targets
    • Work closely with Procurement to establish sourcing and negotiation plan in driving for Y-O-Y cost saving as well as cash flow improvement
    • Collaborate effectively with functional teams to define and manage risk of project/operation and also ensure high adherences to standard of procurement
    • Addresses problems through risk management, variance to forecast and contingency planning and presents solutions and/or options to key stakeholders in relation to Diamonds by Pandora
    • Work in coordination with Risk Management to identify key risks that may affect the strategic outcomes of the organization
    • Work closely with internal compliance and legal teams to ensure adherence to internal and external rules and requirements
       

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operation, Finance, Engineering or related field or above
  • Experience in jewelry business, ideally with Lab Created Diamonds, natural diamonds, or within cutting and polishing of gemstone business, is preferables
  • A minimum of 10 years of working experience in leadership position, with 3 years or more within operational supply chain experience, supply planner, purchasing, or in a relevant function
  • Experience working in global, international company with similar complex setup as Pandora
  • Is self-motivated and hungry enough to work hard; willing to change
  • Possess the strategic perspective and create sustained results for Pandora (financial, non-financial)
  • Demonstrate ability to make hard decisions, making the right trade-offs
  • Effectively plan and efficiently deliver exceptional work while handling both volume and complexity
  • Project management to ensure overall sourcing activities within timeline and budget to support project launch
  • Is an inspirational leader; practices genuine humility and places the team above their own interests

  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; interact effectively with the organization, from commercial to production and distribution.
