     The Delivery Manager (DM) will manage deliveries within Manufacturing Technology, using either Waterfall or Agile methodology. The DM creates the right environment for teams to succeed, identifying and managing dependencies, planning the high level sequence of work, helping the team to self-organise, and creating a culture of learning and transparency. The DM takes ownership for providing delivery advice and guidance and is accountable for coordinating the overall delivery. 

Key aspects of the DM’s role are as follows:

  • Take responsibility for the delivery, through implementing, managing and helping to continuously improve the delivery processes
  • Ensures team has iterative delivery plans to work towards, and that everyone is clear on how they contribute towards achieving those goals
  • Supports the team to maintain their delivery pace and remove escalated obstacles, impediments and blockers that might get in the way of their delivery
  • Supports cross-functions working, making sure that team members effectively collaborate, communicate and focus on what is most important for delivery of value
  • Lead and champion the preferred delivery methodology and able to coach the team on the selected methodology
  • Be a key contributor in the running of an effective management team within the Delivery function, this will include planning, budgeting, resourcing and other general management issues
  • Work closely with the Product team to ensure the solutions they deliver meet the expected outcome
  • Work closely with the Central program team to ensure consistent and integrated reporting, and ways of working across the program.

As the Delivery Manager you will:

  • Work closely with the Product and Engineering teams to plan delivery for planned product initiatives
  • Facilitates the creation of delivery plans (aligning with the Product and programme Roadmaps)
  • Supports the Product team in their product / requirement prioritisation process, and works with the Engineering team to understand the planned technical approach and potential delivery implications
  • Provide delivery management support, coaching and expertise to multiple development team
  • Ensure the team is effectively resourced, in line with plan and budget
  • Contribute to budgeting and financial reporting processes, as required
  • Support the development and submission of lean business canvases for new initiatives, including requesting additional funding above agreed budgets as required
  • Facilitate continuous improvement and apply the most appropriate delivery techniques for your environment
  • Gathers, synthesizes and provides delivery information, progress updates, resources, risks and issues and interdependencies between initiatives
  • Work with the Agile Management Office (AMO) to provide relevant, timely updates on key delivery metrics and measures, to show progress and identify challenges to address
  • Build a view of capacity and performance and maintaining rolling forward view of expected deliveries
  • Makes significant contribution to future planning / refinement (including Quarterly and Annual planning cycles/events)
  • Proactively manage dependencies, plan the sequence of work and overcome obstacles
  • Identify and proactively manage risks to delivery through awareness of status and understanding where additional focus or attention is required to help improve performance
  • Escalate where appropriate and support the Delivery Director in managing those dependencies and risks
  • Work within the agreed operating model and governance processes (and provide input, challenge and support continuous improvement to those processes)
  • Work with your DM peers (and Delivery Director) to establish and develop a Delivery community of practice, ensuring ways of working evolve, and create a continuous improvement culture
  • Maintain a forward view of the release plan based on what stories have been refined and are at the top of each team’s backlog
  • Manages resources of the team so they are deployed as needed to meet capacity requirements.  Work with Product and Engineering Directors to identify additional capacity needs and re-balance workload as needed.



  • 8+ years of Delivery / Project management experience within manufacturing / fashion / luxury / FMCG organizations in large scale strategic programs or projects
  • Experience in successfully managing and guiding complex SAP S/4HANA ERP projects regarding blueprinting, solutioning, capacity planning, budgeting, and rollout
  • Participation in all phases of at least 2 full life cycle SAP implementations
  • Strong experience in enterprise IT management, technology consulting, advisory or professional services
  • Project management and leadership skills for managing projects and cross-functional project teams, onshore and offshore suppliers
  • Ability to identify risks, anticipate challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles with mitigations and contingencies
  • Knowledge of various project management methodologies (e.g., waterfall, agile)
  • Professional Project Management certification (e.g., PMP / PRINCE2 / SAFe) would be an advantage
  • Excellent English communication and presentation skills to provide project leadership and direction to all stakeholders and project resources.
