This role is key in driving manufacturing excellence and ensuring sustainable improvements.
A Manufacturing Excellence Specialist is responsible for leading and implementing continuous improvement initiatives within manufacturing operations. This role focuses on enhancing productivity, quality, and efficiency through Lean methodologies and other best practices. The coach works closely with various teams to foster a culture of excellence
Key accountabilities:
Lead and Mentor: Guide and support manufacturing teams in the implementation of lean principles and continuous improvement strategies to optimize processes
Training and Development: Conduct training sessions on lean systems and tools to enhance team skills and knowledge in Lean concepts and practices
Performance Monitoring: Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement
Collaboration: Work with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on goals and priorities
Problem Solving: Facilitate problem-solving sessions with the working team to address operational challenges and develop effective solutions
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of improvement activities and outcomes.
Educational background:
Candidate must be a graduate of Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field.
Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certified (preferred)
Lean Professional Certified (preferred)
Pivotal and professional qualifications:
With 3-5 years experience in operations and manufacturing environment
Personal Competencies:
Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills. Proficiency in Lean methodologies and tools.
Strong problem-solving skills and has a proactive approach to challenges.
