Specialist, HR Generalist

Pandora is looking for a dynamic and business-savvy Senior Specialist, Human Resources Generalist in Sao Paulo, Brazil.

 

Main purpose of the role:

 

Under the direction of the HR Business Partner, the Human Resources Generalist acts as a strategic and operational partner to the business, supporting leaders and employees across the employee lifecycle with a strong focus on people management, employee relations, talent development and engagement.

The role works in close collaboration with Payroll/Departmento Pessoal (DP), ensuring alignment and effective communication, while payroll execution and statutory ownership remain with the Payroll function.

 

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Health (Non-Operational)

 

  • Partner with HRBP and Talent Acquisition team to support workforce planning and hiring strategies, while end-to-end recruitment execution is owned by the dedicated Recruiter.
  • Act as a strategic partner to recruitment in cases of high turnover, repeated vacancies or operational risk, particularly in retail or specific business units.
  • Analyze hiring patterns and onboarding effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations to HRBP, Recruiter and business leaders.
  • Support hiring managers in addressing structural or people-related issues impacting attraction, retention and performance.
  • Participate in interviews or selection discussions when required due to business criticality or employee relations risks.
  • Ensure alignment between Talent Acquisition efforts and broader HR initiatives related to engagement and retention.

 

Employee Relations, Ethics & Employee Support

 

  • Act as a primary HR point of contact for employees on people-related matters, providing guidance on policies, processes and employee lifecycle topics.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to managers and employees on employee relations, performance management, conduct and conflict resolution.
  • Support leaders through coaching, feedback and performance improvement guidance.
  • Mediate and support workplace-related complaints and allegations, including conduct, harassment, ethics and labor-related matters.
  • Support and participate in internal investigations, in coordination with HRBP and Legal, ensuring confidentiality, neutrality and due process.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation, escalation and compliance in sensitive employee relations cases.
  • Partner with Payroll/DP and Legal to monitor labor relations topics and mitigate people-related risks.

 

Partnership with Payroll / DP (Non-Operational)

 

  • Partner with Payroll/DP to support employee understanding of payroll-related matters, acting as a facilitator when communication or context is required.
  • Ensure payroll-related inquiries are properly routed to Payroll/DP, maintaining clear ownership and accountability.
  • Provide contextual HR information to Payroll/DP when needed, without executing payroll calculations or statutory processes.

 

Talent Management & Development

 

  • Partner with HRBPs and business leaders (DSM/RSM) to support performance management, talent mapping, succession planning, and development initiatives.
  • Identify organizational and individual development needs, including training mapping per role, and support the design and delivery of targeted learning solutions.
  • Collaborate with Retail Excellence to align training programs with capabilities priorities.
  • Support employee retention through development-focused action plans.

 

Compliance, Policies & Governance

 

  • Ensure HR practices align with local labor legislation, internal policies and global guidelines, in partnership with HRBP, Payroll/DP and Legal.
  • Support the creation, update and communication of HR policies and procedures.
  • Act as an HR representative during audits or inspections related to HR practices (excluding payroll execution).

 

Engagement & Culture

 

  • Lead and support employee engagement initiatives, team building activities and internal communications.
  • Promote company culture, values and employee experience initiatives.

 

Reporting & HR Analytics

 

  • Ensure People Portal (employee data system management) is consistently updated and maintained as the central source of HR information and reporting.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret HR data related to turnover, engagement, recruitment, and performance.
  • Provide actionable insights and reports to HRBPs and leadership to support informed decision-making.

 

What We Are Looking For:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology or related fields
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an HR Generalist, preferably within retail, complex, or multi-unit environments.
  • Strong experience in employee relations, talent management, and HR business partnering, ideally supporting retail or field-based teams.
  • Proven experience working collaboratively with Payroll/DP and external vendors in a fast-paced, operational setting.
  • Willingness to travel as required to support multi-unit or store operations within territory.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict management skills
  • Ability to influence leaders and manage sensitive situations with professionalism
  • High level of confidentiality and ethical judgment
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced and changing environment
  • Advanced English
