Senior Specialist, Omni Operations Finance

The mission of the next Senior Specialist - Omni Operations Finance is to provide advice and challenge to our EMEA Omni Operations team to help drive and impact business performance. You will work closely with the EMEA Omni Operations management team (who are based mainly in our European Distribution Center in Hamburg, Germany), as well as with the Finance management teams of the five clusters within the EMEA region, to drive priorities and projects.
The Senior Specialist - Omni Operations Finance will report to the Senior Manager – Global Omni Operations Finance. We support the Global Omni Operations team in providing business partnering to influence financial performance and drive efficiencies in our distribution/logistics setup, customer experience, trade & customs and POSM costs.
The Senior Specialist - Omni Operations Finance will be a key player in driving commercial excellence. You will be tasked to provide analysis and recommendations to steer financial performance towards targets and support the team in identifying and driving cost efficiency opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- Act as the Finance Business Partner to the Vice-President and leadership team of EMEA Omni Operations, and to the Finance management teams of the clusters within the EMEA region.
- Drive the financial performance management and planning processes for EMEA Omni Operations “cost-to-serve”, including the development of the annual budget and quarterly forecasts for OPEX, CAPEX, and headcount, preparation of monthly Business Performance Review (BPR) decks, and identification and timely communication of risks and opportunities.
- Drive the month-end close process through collaboration with Operations and GBS and ensure the accuracy and completeness of monthly EMEA Omni Operations financials.
- Deliver insightful analytics (e.g. deep dives, dashboards) on logistics, customer experience and distribution costs and provide data-driven and actionable recommendations.
- Support the global cost transformation program by partnering with Operations in identifying savings opportunities, development and validation of business cases, and monitoring of actual savings generated by the initiatives.
- Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Finance processes and controls.
- Act as the guardian of finance data quality in the operations cost area, building guidelines and enforcing them in cooperation with GBS.
- Support the Long-Range Planning (LRP) process and distribution network studies.
Key Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in P&L/cost management supporting Commercial, Operations, Supply Chain, or Logistics, preferably gained from retail, FMCG, or logistics industries
- Cross-functional business partnering skills obtained from working with senior stakeholders or from general project management
- Courage to challenge the status quo and ability to influence senior leaders through data, insights, and effective communication
- Strong attention to detail and structured problem-solving skills
- Resilience and adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving environment
- Experience in cross-site collaboration preferred
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Logistics, Supply Chain or similar
- Professional proficiency in English and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint
