Senior Director, Procurement

We are looking for an exceptional experienced Senior Director, Procurement to join our world-class Global team in Bangkok, Thailand 

 

This role is responsible for sourcing high-quality materials and services, onboarding qualified suppliers, and managing underperforming suppliers in accordance with compliance standards. The goal is to secure competitive pricing and sustainable sourcing solutions through market research, data analysis, supplier sourcing, and supplier relationship management.

 

 

Responsibilities include

 

RUNNING THE BUSINESS

 

Sourcing & Supplier Management

  • Review and approve sourcing, negotiation strategy and category management
  • Ensure risk, cost-scenarios, pricing analysis and Market Intelligent update & trends for each product category and leverage support from SCM Excellence when required
  • Develop strategic plan to elevate strong relationships with supplier and partners and manage supplier relationships and performance
  • Ensure effective collaboration with Production and Quality to ensure high adherences to standards of direct materials, indirect materials and other
  • Ensure effective collaboration with Production and Material Management to ensure on-time delivery and production schedule of direct materials, indirect materials and other
  • Drive operational standardized data analytics including spend analysis to manage category strategy
  • Evaluate and ensure the challenges faced by the business and take action to mitigate risks and develop opportunities
  • Collaborate with VP to align on strategic directions as appropriate to ensure effective procurement sourcing strategy, supplier management and procurement process

 

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure purchasing policies and processes are in place to meet business objectives and compliance requirements
  • Ensure profession and consistent supplier assessment (both supplier qualification and supplier performance evaluation) is applied and collaborate effectively with all relevant stakeholders to ensure stringent standards to aid and improve business performances
  • Review and approve contract. Drive for contract coverage to minimize business risk with suppliers

 

Cost Management

  • Ensure and drive competitive cost structure and credit term. Ensure robust action plan to closely monitor cost saving performance as well as headwinds through performance report to achieve budgetary goals.

 

Ethical & Sustainable Procurement

  • Ensure responsible sourcing initiative and collaborate effectively with both external and internal stakeholders including Global Sustainability Board
  • Stakeholder management
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies and seamless procurement process with business goals.

 

Financial Budget and Control

  • Input and hold responsibility on departmental budget, objectives/KPIs and assess ongoing performance of direct reports

 

 

CHANGING THE BUSINESS

 

Supply Resilience

  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies (for example multi-source, supply chain mapping and etc.) to safeguard against disruptions.
  • Develop and drive sourcing and category strategy to support KFVN in ensuring competitive cost, high compliance and project timeline.

 

Sustainability

  • Drive and ensure supplier activity on carbon emission engagement programme to deliver company target commitment

 

 

LEADING THE BUSINESS

  • Manage, coach and develop high performing procurement teams that meet agreed objectives and which deliver best practice results, added value, strategical approach and continuous improvements
  • Stakeholder management
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies and seamless procurement process with business goals.

 

Financial Budget and Control

  • Input and hold responsibility on departmental budget, objectives/KPIs and assess ongoing performance of direct reports

 

 

We’re looking for someone who brings: 

  • 15 years of Procurement experience with a minimum of 7 years in managerial positions - This is a leader of leaders position – success comes through coaching, delegation and developing people
  • Experience working in global organizations with a matrix organizational setup
  • Strong knowledge of complex end to end Supply Chain processes
  • Experience within manufacturing is preferred
  • Ability to drive the solution to most complex business problems
  • Strategic perspective and create sustained results for Pandora (financial, non-financial)
  • Ability to make hard decisions, making the right trade-offs
  • Effective planning and efficiently deliver exceptional work while handling both volume and complexity
  • Inspirational leadership skills; practices genuine humility and places the team above their own interests
  • Self-motivation and hunger to work hard; willing to change
  • Ability to lead, manage, motivate, and run own team of future leaders
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills; interact effectively with the organization
  • Proficient Project management to ensure overall sourcing activities within timeline and budget to support project launch
  • Commercial and financial awareness with experience of managing budgets
