HR Director SEMEA (Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa)

We are looking for a HR Director to lead our SEMEA (Southern Europe, Middle East & Africa) cluster based in Milan. 

 

Your Role as HR Director SEMEA:

Accountable for all end-to-end HR activities within the cluster, the HR Director is a strategic and hands-on leader responsible for driving the continuous evolution and excellence of the HR function, as well as for granting first class employee experience throughout the entire lifecycle.

 

As an active part of both the Cluster Leadership Team and Global HR Community, the role plays a critical part in evolving ways of working, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and placing talent at the center of all strategic decisions.

 

The HR Director has the responsibility for shape and implement innovative, people-centric practices that align with the company’s global ambitions, also operationalizing global policy in the cluster and working closely with GO Centers of Excellence.

 

 

Key Accountabilities

1. Business Partnership

  • Partner with GM and leadership to translate business priorities into people solutions
  • Build strong internal/external relationships and reinforce employer positioning
  • Coach leadership to drive performance, engagement and retention

 

2. HR Operations & Budget

  • Lead end-to-end HR operations (admin, time & attendance, payroll, recruitment, L&D, HRBPs, labor relations, annual budget/quarter forecast/monthly landing, policy)
  • Optimize processes, structures and personnel cost management
  • Ensure full compliance, solid governance and alignment across the cluster countries

 

3. Talent & People Development

  • Lead talent management, succession planning and leadership development
  • Strengthen organizational capabilities, engagement and performance culture
  • Align talent strategies with business growth and transformation

 

4. Performance, Rewards & Analytics

  • Lead performance management frameworks, linking individual and organizational outcomes to business results
  • Drive rewards strategies aligned with performance and market practices
  • Embed KPIs and a strong data-driven approach to support decision-making

 

5. Engagement & Employer Branding

  • Enhance employee engagement and elevate the overall employee experience across the lifecycle
  • Lead initiatives to strengthen employer branding in alignment with global programs
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion and people-centricity

 

 

Desired Skill & Experience

  • Senior HR leadership experience in complex, fast-paced organisations, ideally within retail, consumer-facing, or similarly dynamic environments
  • Proven track record across both growth and restructuring contexts
  • Strong exposure to matrix organisations and international stakeholders
  • Solid grounding in metrics, cost discipline and performance management, combined with deep expertise in people and culture
  • Strong knowledge of Italian labor law and the Italian employment landscape
  • Retail experience is a strong plus; experience in organizations with comparable pace and complexity is highly relevant
