Head of FP&A, British Isles

 

Contract: Permanent 

Location: Flexible hybrid working style with three days in the London office

 

The role 

 

Reporting to the Finance Director, British Isles, the Head of FP&A will lead financial planning, performance management and commercial insight across Pandora UK and Ireland. Operating across the second largest Pandora region, this role will be a critical partner to the Finance Director, General Manager and wider regional leadership team. 

 

This is a senior leadership role within Finance and is positioned as the second-in-command to the Finance Director. Leading one direct report, the FP&A Specialist, the role requires strategic commercial judgement, strong financial discipline and the ability to influence local, regional and global stakeholders. Over time, the role is expected to build the capability, breadth and leadership maturity required to be a credible successor to the Finance Director role.

What to expect from the role 

 

  • Act as a trusted senior finance partner to the Finance Director and General Manager for Pandora British Isles, providing clear commercial challenge, forward-looking insight and robust financial guidance. 

  • Partner with the regional leadership team and relevant global stakeholders to support decisions that drive sustainable top-line growth, EBIT delivery and long-term value creation. 

  • Translate financial and commercial performance into concise, decision-oriented narratives that help leaders understand the true drivers of business performance. 

  • Lead the financial assessment of pricing changes, ensuring recommendations are commercially actionable and financially robust. 

  • Partner cross-functionally with local merchandising, global revenue growth management and other business areas to improve promotional effectiveness and retail discount discipline. 

  • Own monthly and quarterly performance reviews for the Global Executive Leadership Team, distilling complex financial and commercial data into clear trends, risks, opportunities and management actions. 

  • Lead month-end performance management across the FP&A agenda, ensuring the business has a clear view of delivery against forecast, budget and strategic objectives. 

  • Identify performance gaps and opportunities, drive corrective actions with business owners and support delivery of EBIT commitments. 

  • Lead quarterly forecasting and annual budgeting for the British Isles, balancing top-down targets, bottom-up operational plans and global requirements. 

  • Oversee gross margin forecasting and key gross margin assumptions, ensuring plans are analytically sound, commercially grounded and aligned to strategic priorities. 

  • Manage, coach and develop the FP&A Specialist, building capability in commercial analysis, stakeholder management, performance storytelling and planning excellence. 

  • Support the Finance Director in the broader leadership of the Finance function, role-modelling high standards of collaboration, ownership and business partnering. 

 

The successful candidate 

 

  • Commercially sharp and ambitious finance leader with the credibility to operate at senior levels while maintaining the discipline to deliver high-quality financial planning, performance management and governance. 

  • Confident challenger who can simplify complexity, turn data into clear insight and influence decision-making across Finance and non-Finance functions. 

  • Strong executive communicator who can turn complex financial information into concise, compelling and commercially relevant messages. 

  • Collaborative, team-oriented leader who is motivated by developing people, building capability and strengthening the overall Finance function. 

  • High personal ownership, resilience and ambition, with the appetite to develop into a future Finance Director role. 

 

Ideal candidates will have 

 

  • A progressive finance experience, ideally including senior FP&A, commercial finance or business partnering roles. 

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, international or matrixed organisation, with the ability to manage both local execution and global stakeholder expectations. 

  • Retail, fashion, jewellery or consumer-facing experience would be advantageous, particularly where the role has involved trading performance, pricing, promotions, margin or customer-led commercial decisions. 

  • Strong financial planning capability, including ownership of forecasting or budgeting processes involving multiple business stakeholders. 

  • Excellent analytical capability, with confidence to move beyond reporting into insight, recommendations and action. 

  • Credible stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build trust, challenge constructively and influence senior leaders.
