Senior Manager, Global Commercial Finance - Interim

We are seeking an exceptional commercial finance leader to join Global Commercial Finance for a 12-14 month maternity cover. This highly visible role will partner senior business leaders and bring financial insight, commercial judgement and constructive challenge to some of Pandora's most important strategic priorities.

The portfolio may evolve as the team develops. We are therefore looking for a versatile, impact-oriented leader who can quickly understand new areas, create structure and build trusted partnerships in a complex global organisation.

Purpose of the role

Act as a trusted finance partner to senior commercial leaders, translating strategy and performance into clear choices, executable plans, measurable value and actionable insights. The role combines strategic thinking with hands-on delivery, supporting selected global priorities while helping Global Commercial Finance become more proactive, insight-led and commercially focused.

Key accountabilities

Strategic and commercial business partnering

  • Build trusted partnerships with SVP-level stakeholders and their leadership teams.
  • Bring independent financial advice and constructive challenge to strategic and commercial decisions.
  • Connect commercial, operational and financial perspectives to clarify value drivers, risks and trade-offs.
  • Translate complex issues into concise, decision-ready recommendations for senior leaders.

Planning, performance and decision support

  • Support long-range planning, budgeting and forecasting across the assigned portfolio.
  • Develop and evaluate business cases, challenging assumptions, dependencies, execution risk and value potential.
  • Identify emerging opportunities and performance risks, and partner the business to define corrective action.
  • Deliver relevant, actionable insight that links strategic ambition, operational execution and financial outcomes.

Leadership and team contribution

  • Lead, prioritise and develop a small team with a focus on feedback and development
  • Set high standards for analytical quality, ownership and delivery while creating an inclusive, supportive environment.
  • Contribute to the broader Global Commercial Finance agenda and strengthen collaboration across Finance.

Transformation and continuous improvement

  • Simplify and improve finance processes, tools and ways of working.
  • Create structure and consistency in evolving areas, balancing pace with quality.
  • Help advance a forward-looking finance partnering model focused on insight, decisions and value creation.

What success looks like

  • Trusted, credible relationships with senior business partners.
  • Better business decisions through clear insight, commercial judgement and constructive challenge.
  • High-quality support for strategic priorities, planning processes and investment choices.
  • Early, transparent communication of risks, opportunities and trade-offs.
  • Focused delivery, strong prioritisation and effective leadership in a changing environment.
  • Tangible improvements in finance capability, processes or ways of working.

Experience and qualifications

  • Significant experience in commercial finance, strategic finance, financial planning, business partnering or a comparable role.
  • Strong track record of advising and influencing senior leaders in a complex, international or matrix organisation.
  • Experience assessing opportunities across commercial, operational and financial dimensions, including strategic initiatives, plans or business cases.
  • Strong analytical, financial modelling and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convert complexity into executive-level insight.
  • Experience leading, coaching or developing finance professionals.
  • Sound understanding of financial controls, accounting principles and data integrity.
  • Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business or a comparable discipline; a professional qualification or relevant postgraduate degree is required.
  • Fluent written and spoken English. Experience in retail, consumer goods, fashion or another consumer-facing industry is beneficial, but not essential.

Skills, capabilities and personal qualities

  • Commercial and strategic acumen: understands how the business creates value and connects consumer, market and operational choices to financial outcomes.
  • Constructive challenge: tests assumptions with confidence, respect and evidence, including with senior stakeholders.
  • Executive communication: distils complexity into clear narratives, choices and recommendations for senior audiences.
  • Stakeholder leadership: builds credibility quickly, aligns different perspectives and influences without relying on formal authority.
  • Proactive ownership: anticipates needs, drives momentum and takes accountability from question through to outcome.
  • Organisation and adaptability: manages competing priorities, creates structure from ambiguity and delivers reliably in a fast-changing environment.
  • People leadership and collaboration: sets clear expectations, develops others and role-models an inclusive, 'One Pandora Team' mindset.
