Your Role as Safety & Security Coordinator:
- Support the development and implementation of safety and security policies, including business continuity and crisis management plans.
- Conduct investigations into theft, fraud, and other loss-related incidents.
- Identify risks, vulnerabilities, and opportunities to enhance site safety and security strategies.
- Perform Daily, Weekly, and Monthly loss prevention audits and ensure compliance with company standards.
- Oversee the use, upkeep, and troubleshooting of security systems (CCTV, alarms, access controls, anti-theft devices).
- Respond to security alarms during scheduled work hours and participate in an on-call rotation as needed.
- Provide onboarding, orientation, and operational guidance to third-party security partners.
- Actively participate in the Safety Committee.
- Contribute to Daily Stand-up meetings by sharing Loss Prevention & Security updates.
- Assist with additional tasks as required to support business operations.
What is needed to succeed:
- 1–3 years in safety, security, loss prevention, or related areas (or equivalent experience/education).
- Strong conflict management, de-escalation, and emergency response skills.
- Effective verbal and written communicator with experience delivering training.
- Proficient with CCTV, access control, and other security technologies.
- Able to manage sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Proactive, dependable, and able to make sound independent decisions.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal skills across all levels of the organization.
- Professional, trustworthy, and flexible—available for nights/weekends as needed.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Strong understanding of CCTV/security system platforms.
- Skilled in report writing, interviewing, and investigations.
- OSHA and environmental health knowledge is a plus.

Maryland Salary: $27.00 - $34.00 per hour, commensurate based on experience.
