About the Team:
 

The Demand Planning Process Manager is part of the North America merchandising team that includes Demand Planning, Allocation, Assortment Planning, and Merchandise Financial Planning. The role will be responsible for demand planning activities for the North America Cluster.  The primary responsibilities are to ensure that item level forecasts of selected Jewelry categories are as accurate as possible at all times, meeting forecast accuracy objectives whilst aligning with Category Sales plans & supporting commercial objectives. Additionally, this role is responsible for supporting and enhancing demand planning processes and tools to optimize the function’s effectiveness. This job will have responsibility for managing others.

The Demand Planning Process Manager works to meet these objectives by leveraging the Logility supply chain management software and Microsoft Office applications while collaborating with other business functions and colleagues around the world.

 

 

Your Role as a Demand Planning Process Manager:

 

  • Optimize and maintain item-level statistical forecasts in the Logility supply chain management software
  • Ensure that key performance metrics are achieved in forecast accuracy, order fill rates, and inventory levels
  • Maintain and enhance the Sell Out & Sell In forecasting tool
  • Responsible for reviewing and adapting currently NAM demand planning processes to increase function effectiveness
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to refine the statistical forecasts and to forecast new product launches and promotions
  • Identify and address root causes of key forecast accuracy misses and forecast bias
  • Conduct comprehensive monthly review of item demand forecasts in Logility and weekly ad-hoc reviews as required in response to trend
  • Collaborate with merchandise, sales and marketing team members to forecast new products, promotions, events and to understand and refine existing statistical forecasts
  • Represent demand planning in weekly call with global supply to ensure appropriate inventory support for North America cluster
  • Review of item forecasting against plans and monitor bestsellers to ensure demand is aligned and relevant to current trading conditions
  • Research and analyze historical sales trends, demand drivers, new product performance, and promotional performance and apply learnings to improve forecast accuracy
  • Collaborate with supply chain colleagues around the world to cultivate global efficiencies, share best practices, and enhance performance
  • Build and leverage exception reports to efficiently identify and resolve key forecast errors

  • 5-8 years of experience in Demand Planning, Inventory Planning, Inventory Analysis, Merchandise Planning, Replenishment Analysis, Supply Chain Planner, or related field.
  • Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Statistics, Finance, or related field
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Leads by example and is a vocal leader within team setting
  • Exceptional interpersonal & communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills. Ability to work efficiently and prioritize effectively.
  • Must be structured, organized and have a high attention to detail
  • The ability to meet tight deadlines and juggle priorities
  • Flexible and adaptable, able to multitask in a changing and fast paced environment
  • Self-motivated and driven. Ability to self-manage projects and deadlines
  • Ability to collaborate across functionally and globally
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Basic Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint skills
  • Experience with Supply Chain planning systems preferred


NYC Salary: $127,000-$137,000 commensurate with experience
